Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort Boasts 162 Pools

Grand Velas Riviera Maya features 491 suites, each more than 1,000 square-feet in three separate ambiances -- premium ocean-front Grand Class Suites with terrace plunge pools for families with children 12 and up, family-friendly ocean-view Ambassador Suites and Zen Grand Suites embraced by the flora and fauna of the Yucatan Peninsula's. 3 Resort Pools, "Head Turners"

In each of the three ambiances, the resort offers more expansive pools for guests complete with swim-up bars and pool concierges to deliver food and drinks. The nearly 4,000-square-foot Grand Class Pool is adults only, providing a quiet respite with direct views of the pristine Caribbean Sea. The same view is available at the 21,000-square-foot Ambassador Family-Friendly Pool, complete with water basketball hoop and children's pool for the young ones. At the 5,300-square foot Zen Grand Pool, set in the natural environment of the destination, the Yucatan jungle envelopes you. 3 Spa Pools

Inspired by the natural water pools of the Yucatan Peninsula, the $15 million architecturally striking spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya features a specialty treatment room with a small pool for Jansu water-massage treatments, including the regularly requested Nik-te Ha Water Massage. In addition, the natural subterranean level of the spa is entirely dedicated to the relaxation and restorative facilities that comprise the Water Journey. One of the seven steps of the water journey is the central infinity pool with powerful massaging faucets throughout and carved-stone chaises with jets set just underneath the surface of the water on which guests recline. Two stunning slate-grey stone-tiled walls bisect the central hydrotherapy pool, dividing the equally spacious and especially private men's and women's pools.
