Hamilton Princess & Lili Bermuda Release Custom Fragrance

Hamilton Princess & Lili Bermuda Release Custom Fragrance

The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club announces the debut of its first-ever custom fragrance, created in collaboration with local Bermudian Master Perfumer Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone of Lili Bermuda. The perfume reflects the legacy of this iconic Bermuda hotel, which has evolved through more than a century of Bermuda’s tourism iterations.

The Harkness Hamilton Princess Rose blooms around the harbour-front property and was the source of inspiration for this new custom fragrance, aptly named Island Rose. It captures the powerful perfume of the rose, citrusy with a dash of raspberry fruit, paired with the smell of the wind entering Hamilton Harbour, which reflects the affluent and mystical persona that is Bermuda.

“We set out to create a fragrance that is custom to our hotel and our position along the Hamilton Harbour, that guests could come to enjoy, become familiar with, and take home as a reminder of their time with us,” said Diarmaid O’Sullivan, Director of Sales & Marketing for Hamilton Princess. “Lili Bermuda was the ideal partner to collaborate with to bring our vision to life, as they are masters at their craft and have a 90-year history in Bermuda.”

“We wanted the rose to reflect nuances, colors and textures of Bermuda and to be true to the Harkness Rose, which adorns the gardens of the hotel,” said Mrs. Ramsay Brackstone, Master Perfumer of LiliBermuda. “The fragrance itself is an ethereal rose – fruity, yet not sweet, fresh, and effervescent, with a lovely iris and woody dry down.”

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club and Lili Bermuda are two acclaimed Bermuda brands established at the forefront of the tourism era. The Hamilton Princess Hotel began welcoming guests in 1885 and continues to be recognized as the island’s “Grande Dame.” Lili Bermuda was established in 1928 in Bailey’s Bay by a father and daughter team, and its fragrances are available exclusively in Bermuda. Each carefully handcrafted bottle of fragrance, which now includes Island Rose, is made on the island.

Guests of Hamilton Princess can enjoy the aroma of Island Rose throughout the property, first encountered upon entering the welcoming lobby. It is also available for purchase at the resort’s Pink Cabana store, Lili Bermuda Boutique in St. George’s, local shops throughout the island, and online at www.lilibermuda.com for worldwide shipping. Island Rose can be enjoyed in the form of fragrance, body lotion or a luxury candle.
