Hot New Restaurant in the Sky Opens in Old Town Scottsdale
Nestled high above the southwest corner of 3rd Avenue and Scottsdale Road, The Second Story Liquor Bar features an imaginative cocktail menu alongside a playful menu of modern American cuisine.

Three years in the making, the Second Story Liquor Bar dubbed “SSLB” pairs storytelling with robust flavors and fresh ingredients alongside fine spirits and savory cocktails.
“We spent the last three years really developing this concept and designing a sophisticated second story space to give our guest that intimate experience. Add to that - an all-star cast in the kitchen and bar, we think this will be a concept Old Town can be proud to call their new Liquor Bar,” said Owner Tommy Plato.

Led by Executive Chef Josh Bracher, formerly of Posh Restaurant and Capital Grille, the culinary team has created a menu blending international ingredients with modern favorites. Among the favorites so far: the 24 Hr braised beef short ribs, Ahi Poke Asian Chopped Salad, Seared Caesar, Inside Out Caprese Burrata, Duck Confit and the Niman Ranch Bone-In Lamb Chops.
“We want our guests to live in the moment, enjoy the layers, depth, textures and flavor components that make up every dish,” said Bracher. “We want entertain our guests and show them some unique pairings and inspiration that we have gathered from our travels around the world.”

Leading the beverage team is John Christie, formerly of Old Town Whiskey, who has designed 12 signature cocktails that recognize current mixology trends but pay homage to the classics.
“We tell stories of the bourbon in a drink, or the winemaker behind a wine along with the inspiration behind a dish,” said Christie. “There's a story behind everything, and really that's the idea behind Second Story Liquor Bar.”

The Second Story Liquor Bar is open Wednesday – Sunday 4 p.m. to close. The restaurant is located 4166 N. Scottsdale Road, 2nd Story (above The Gelato Spot) in Old Town Scottsdale. The space can also be reserved for private parties and functions.
