Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is a beloved pastime for sunseekers spending their summer holidays in the French Riviera. Guests can retreat to one of the property’s 31 seaside cabanas nestled amidst century-old maritime pines, overlooking the Mediterranean. Originally formed in the 1930’s, the cabanas invite travelers to sunbathe and take a dip in the sea offering an unparalleled experience for intimate and relaxing days.
For the 2024 season, these iconic cabanas have undergone exquisite renovations with a new line of furniture created by world-renowned interior designer Francis Sultana in collaboration with “Sika Design”. It features aluminum furniture in summer colors, bamboo style, with a contemporary design, paying tribute to the Riviera style of the 1960s.
At the heart of each cabana, a wooden table with a ceramic top, serves as a perfect centerpiece for gourmet lunches under the shade of the umbrellas. The cabana floors have been entirely redone, featuring beautiful sand-colored travertine, while the sage-colored exterior and interior woodwork blends seamlessly with the colors of the landscape.
The transformation extends to the soft furnishings, where all fabrics used for the decorative cushions, deck chairs, and curtains separating the back of the cabanas were meticulously handpicked for the cabanas. In sage green and cream tones, these fabrics are exclusively designed in collaboration with American textile house Schumacher.
To further enhance the new decor, local ceramic artist Gérard Crociani from nearby Vallauris has crafted decorative plates in blue and green hues that beautifully adorn the cabanas’ inner walls, reflecting the pure joy of summer holidays. On the gastronomy side, local flavors soaked in sunshine are proposed throughout the day.
A vestige from eras past, the seaside cabanas retain their historic charm while showcasing their finest summer attire. Now more beautiful than ever, these legendary cabanas will continue to be a haven for peaceful days under the warm Riviera sun.
