Hotel Healdsburg Announces Two New Wine and Culinary Excursions

Hotel Healdsburg, a luxury boutique property in the heart of Healdsburg’s charming downtown, is offering two new excursions that will enhance guests’ time in wine country and immerse them in the region’s attractions – a unique mushroom foraging adventure and the chance to explore Sonoma County’s world-class wines firsthand with the hotel’s wine director, Erin Miller.

Mushroom Foraging Adventure

  • Available through February 2022, the Mushroom Foraging Adventure experience will take guests to the beautiful Notre Vue Estate & Winery with an expert mushroom forager for a two-hour hands-on hunt for wild mushrooms. They’ll learn what trees and terrain to look for, how to identify which mushrooms are edible (and which aren’t), safety tips and foraging etiquette. The day will conclude with a three-course dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen – Hotel Healdsburg’s acclaimed restaurant – that will include a special fourth course prepared by the Chef with guests’ mushrooms.
  • Those who book the excursion will also receive one bottle of Balverne or Notre Vue wine per person and a Mushroom Lovers Gift Package, which includes a foraging pocket guidebook for every 2 people, 0.5 oz dried local porcini mushrooms, wild mushroom recipes, and more.

Explorations of Sonoma Wine

  • Hotel guests can now join Dry Creek Kitchen’s wine director Erin Miller for a customized wine education, tasting, and dining experience. Available Thursday-Tuesday, the experience includes a one-hour wine tutorial and tasting customized to guests’ tastes and interests, plus a three-course dinner tasting menu for two at Dry Creek Kitchen with wine pairings specifically selected for their palate by Erin.
  • To complement guests’ on-site tutorial, the concierge team will also craft a wine country itinerary customized to their wine preferences and interests to make the most of their visit.
