Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo 2022 Announces New Offerings this Spring

Ideally located in the Carré d’Or, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo announces new offerings this Spring. The hotel’s exclusive ‘Just For You’ experiences will be launching two new initiatives for guests, including a partnership with shoemaker Berluti and a local portrait artist David Djiango; as well as green initiatives to raise sustainability awareness amongst younger generations. The hotel’s Spa Metropole by Givenchy will also unveil a new treatment and a full yoga retreat will be available for guests to book from June.

Just For You experiences
Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo created the “Just For You” program with a selection of bespoke activities for guests to enjoy memorable and unforgettable experiences with family and friends.

New this year, guests will be able to discover the Art of Patina with an exclusive meeting with a Berluti craftsman. In the 1980s, Olga Berluti developed the patina on leather, a method that consists of applying creams and natural color pigments using precise gestures to give shoes shine and varied tones. For the ultimate personalized experience, shoe lovers can discover the secrets of the Art of Patina with a Master Shoemaker from Berluti’s Parisian workshop. Not only will they share their knowledge and know-how, but also listen to your daily routines and habits in order to design a uniquely tailored pair of shoes “just for you”.

Also new this year, French painter David Djiango, nicknamed “architect of the portrait”, has partnered with the hotel to create portrait paintings for couples, families and friends. Providing an original take on today’s “selfie”, the painting will be a keepsake to treasure for generations. Inspired by each guest, the artist will pay special attention in highlighting emotions during a sitting. Guests will receive their personalized artwork in a gorgeous frame, delivered to their home a few weeks later.

Green initiatives
With a growing commitment to sustainability, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo will launch a "Green Kids" educational program to encourage sustainable practices and raise awareness amongst younger generations. From check in throughout the whole stay, the Green Kids program provides children with an array of activities and initiatives encouraging children to spend time outdoors while adopting daily habits such as reusing and recycling.

Children will also receive a wooden “eco cube”, containing seeds to grow their own plant at home in memory of their stay at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.

Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant Yoshi Pop up
From 17 June, Yoshi, the only Michelin starred Japanese restaurant on the Côte d'Azur, will host a summer pop up by the pool at Odyssey. A true oasis in the heart of Monaco designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 2013, this unique concept features a fresco-styled glass installation inspired by Ulysses’ journey. Yoshi’s pop up – overseen by chef Takeo Yamazaki – will finally offer a select menu by the pool, with nigiri, maki, sashimi, fish or meat; served with the best sakés, whisky or Japanese green teas selected by the head sommelier.

Spa Metropole by Givenchy
Spa Metropole by Givenchy - the third Givenchy spa worldwide - has recently launched its new treatment “Soin Noir Renaissance Absolue” which features the main active ingredient of the Soin Noir collection. Awakening the 5 senses through modelling techniques influenced by the kobido massage, combining intensity, firmness and softness, this treatment stimulates the blood microcirculation and revives the skin's radiance.

Yoga retreat
This June, the hotel will partner with Karolina Palac, a certified yoga and pilates teacher, offering its guests a new yoga retreat. Combining yoga, meditation and Pilates sessions, the four-day programme is an opportunity to challenge mind, soul and body. With a calm mind and a caring approach, Karolina will inspire and guide guests in reaching a more balanced and focused mindset, through small group activities open to all levels.

Whilst introducing traditional pilates in the mornings, to strengthen core, improve posture, engage mental focus and increase flexibility and balance, late afternoons will feature a more gentle, calming Yin yoga approach followed by a meditation session.
