Rod Strong was an acclaimed dancer who decided to pursue his second love, winemaking. Along with his wife and dance partner Charlotte Ann Winson, he purchased a century-old boarding house in Sonoma over 50 years ago. Rod became one of the pioneers of Sonoma County's modern wine industry, an acknowledged visionary who understood the potential that the area's soil and climate held for producing world-class wines.

Taste four of his wines for yourself, expertly paired with the chefs' creations. The courses include Grilled Spot Prawn with sweet potato cake and lemon mascarpone; Duck Confit with baby spinach, crispy shoestring potatoes, goat cheese, and sun-dried cherry vinaigrette; Grilled Venison Loin with tempura mushroom roll, butternut squash puree, and red pepper demi-glace; and Upside-Down Chocolate Pear Cake with rum butter sauce.
