Hotel Valley Ho’s New Pastry Chef is Shaking Up the 'Show Stopper' Shake for Fall

The Show Stopper Shake is the dessert that everyone’s been talking about. ZuZu inside the retro-chic Hotel Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale serves up a brand-new shake each month, elevating the classic milkshake with creative flavors and house-made desserts piled on top. Lisa Graf, the hotel’s new pastry chef, is shaking up the “Show Stopper” with two incredible flavors for fall.

Throughout September, savor the Banana Split shake, made with strawberry banana milkshake and topped with a chocolate dipped-banana, caramel sauce, fudge, a mini pineapple upside down cake, whipped cream, cherries and more. In October, get your sugar fix with the State Fair “Show Stopper” Shake, featuring a vanilla Twinkie milkshake, strawberry sauce, funnel cake, a deep-fried cheesecake ball, popcorn ball, white-chocolate-covered Twinkie, cotton candy and more.

Chef Graf, who created these two over-the-top shakes, was inspired to become a pastry chef after going on a backpacking trip through Europe that became an unforgettable culinary adventure. She joined Hotel Valley Ho in August 2018 after working in notable restaurants throughout the country, including La Boca in Santa Fe, Mama’s Fish House in Maui, and Carafe Bistro in Portland, Oregon. Highly influenced by her hometown of Santa Fe, she loves to use local and seasonal ingredients, work with Southwestern flavors, and create one-of-a-kind ice cream flavors.
