New Ultra-Luxury Hotels to Open in Miami - Bvlgari, Aman, Waldorf Astoria

While wealth continues to flock to Miami, so do travelers. The city was just named on TIME’s 2022 Greatest Places list, further solidifying its stance as the place to be this year, and those to come. Catering to this, Miami Beach is rivaling world-class destinations with a new portfolio of local, premium flags including Bvlgari, Aman and Waldorf Astoria, raising the bar for luxury leisure and business travelers alike.

Bvlgari Miami Beach: (pictured above) The brand’s first-ever 100-key U.S. hotel property will be opening in the heart of South Beach. The project will involve a dramatic transformation/renovation of the former Seagull Hotel, built in 1948, giving Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts a foothold in the U.S. market alongside its properties in Milan, London, Dubai, Bali, etc.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has announced plans for Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach, to open in 2025. The Hotel will be the 11th property in the collection. The Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach will be located at 100 21st street in Miami Beach, and will be the first ever Bulgari Hotel in the United States. Located on the waterfront with access to Miami beautiful beaches, the Hotel will offer stunning ocean views just a few steps from the exciting Miami Art Deco district.

Like all Bulgari Hotels properties, the Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel will finalize the restoration and design of the 1950s Modernist property, which is a contributing building located in the National Register Architectural District and was known as a winter getaway destination for the Old Hollywood crowd during the 50s and 60s. Channeling signature Bulgari glamour, the Hotel will be home to 100 rooms, most of them suites, an outdoor pool, spa and fitness facilities and restaurant and bar from Chef Niko Romito.

Aman Miami Beach

Aman, the world’s preeminent lifestyle and hospitality brand, developed by OKO Group, the firm helmed by Vlad Doronin, who is also building the ultra-luxe Missoni and UNA condominiums in downtown Miami, has broken ground on Aman Hotel & Residences in Miami Beach. The 56-key, and 23-room development will occupy the site of the historic Versailles Hotel. It will be Kengo Kuma’s (the imitable Japanese architect) first residential tower in the U.S.

In a prime oceanfront site on Collins Avenue, Aman Miami Beach will follow in the footsteps of Aman New York as a torchbearer for Aman’s urban evolution, encapsulating the inimitable energy of its dynamic setting.  Occupying an iconic Art Deco tower on the mid-beach skyline – the former home of the Versailles Hotel – Aman Miami Beach's hotel will be the product of a meticulous restoration by John Michel Gathy of Denniston, re-establishing the site as a visual landmark while embracing Aman’s ethos of uncomplicated serenity.

The 100-story Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences Miami in Downtown Miami will rise 1,049 ft, becoming one of the tallest buildings in Florida. The project will mark the first Waldorf Astoria development in South Florida, joining other global cities with the brand including Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and Dubai.
