Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo once again awarded 3 Michelin Keys

On Wednesday, October 8, the prestigious Michelin Guide held its very first global Michelin Keys Ceremony 2025 in Paris. During this exceptional evening, the new Keys—distinctions equivalent to restaurant stars—were unveiled, celebrating over 7,000 hotels around the world. First introduced in 2024, the Michelin Keys had already recognized the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo with the maximum award of three Keys, symbolizing an extraordinary stay. A rare distinction in Monaco, granted exclusively to the Hôtel de Paris, which has just been renewed in the same way for 2025. The legendary palace on Place du Casino thus reaffirms its unique status within the Monegasque hotel landscape.

For the second consecutive year, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has been honored by the Michelin Guide with the coveted three Michelin Keys. This highest level of recognition in hospitality corresponds to an “extraordinary stay”, described by the renowned Red Guide as follows: “Here, everything inspires wonder – it is the pinnacle of comfort and service, of style and elegance. It is one of the most remarkable and extraordinary hotels in the world, a destination in itself that warrants a journey. Every element reflecting exceptional hospitality is brought together to ensure each stay remains etched not only in travelers’ minds, but also in their hearts.”

This year, as last, only 24 hotels in France (and Monaco) received this top distinction, including five in the Var and Alpes-Maritimes regions—and only one in Monaco: the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo.

According to Stéphane Valeri, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer: “I am very pleased and proud to see the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo once again honored by the Michelin Guide. This distinction celebrates not only the historic and iconic hotel on Place du Casino, but also the excellence of its teams, now led by Louis Starck since September 29. These three Michelin Keys reflect the values of luxury and excellence that define Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.”

Created in 2024, the Michelin Keys are awarded based on five essential criteria: excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, the hotel’s overall character and personality, value for money, and significant contribution to the neighborhood or local environment. They are to hotels what Michelin Stars are to restaurants.

This new recognition further highlights the deep commitment to excellence that characterizes Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and its teams, who ensure, day after day, an exceptional level of hospitality worthy of Monte-Carlo’s art de vivre.
