Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has recently introduced a variety of new and enhanced experiences for their guests to enjoy while on property. The resort recently underwent a multimillion-dollar guestroom and lobby renovation and offers authentic Hawaiian experiences for visitors of all ages whether they’re poolside, under the stars or oceanside at Ka’anapali Beach. Couples, families and friends can come together and enjoy everything the island has to offer to create unforgettable memories on their vacation in tropical paradise.
Some of the newest activities guests can enjoy at the resort include:
Drums of the Pacific Luau: Celebrating over 40 years at the resort, this nightly luau has been revamped to take guests on a journey through the Pacific. Additions to the performance include a lei demonstration, a signature drum number and new costumes with a contemporary Hawaiian design. Guests can also experience a three-course dinner broken into three separate vignettes, an open bar with new craft cocktails and Polynesian crafts made by local skilled artisans.
Social Media Mermaid: Teens ages 12 and up can learn to take the best poolside selfies through this engaging program. Guests will create social media content while posing with their very own rented mermaid tail. Alongside making boomerangs, reels and TikToks, they’ll also be taught swimming techniques with their tails so they can feel like a true island mermaid.
Astrophotography Workshop: Maui is one of the best places to experience a crystal-clear view of the constellations, and guests can get the perfect view from the top of Lahaina Tower. On Monday nights, they can meet with NASA astronomer Eddie Mahoney for a chance to learn about astrophotography. This workshop allows guests to combine their cameras with a brand-new Celestron Deluxe HD telescope so they can take brilliant pictures of the night sky.
Marine Life Talks: The resort’s resident Wildlife Team will be leading 20-minute Marine Life Talks to teach guests about the fascinating animals that live under the sea. They have the chance to learn about Amazing Airbreathers on Mondays, Totally Jawsome creatures on Wednesdays and Colorful Fish and Spineless Wonders on Fridays. Each session includes colorful and laminated sheets to help guests follow along, fun props and an educational coloring sheet they can take with them.
Family Fun Fitness Classes: Every morning from 9:15-9:45, families can start their day by moving their bodies in a Family Fun Fitness Class. Sessions include connecting the mind and body in Fit/Form/Function, dancing in Dance & Flow, high-energy circuit training in EveryBODIES Fitness and the foundations of yoga in Family Fun Yoga.
