Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, the first destination resort in the world, has just finished a multimillion-dollar renovation to its 810 guestrooms including 31 suites and its lobby. Guests who are ready to travel can take advantage of the resort’s several offers including “Stay, Learn and Play at Hyatt Regency Maui” and “Hyatt Regency Maui to Yourself.”
The “Stay, Learn and Play at Hyatt Regency Maui” includes accommodations in a newly renovated deluxe ocean front suite with a connecting room for “stay,” a private astronomy lesson from a NASA Ambassador Edward Mahoney on the rooftop to “learn,” and dinner during sunset and a stargazing experience on the rooftop to “play.” The package also includes exclusive access to the activity lawn that includes daybeds along with a $500 food and beverage credit, a spa treatment, a private hula dance class, yoga and meditation break, and an interactive wildlife experience with penguins and birds. For the ultimate private and spacious vacation, Hyatt Regency Maui is also currently offering “Hyatt Regency Maui to Yourself” (810 rooms) offer as well as “Hyatt Regency Maui (Almost) to Yourself” (232 rooms). Both offers are inclusive of all food and beverage, for three nights, and feature culture immersion classes such as hula dance lesson and lei making, Hawaiian-inspired cooking and mixology classes, award-winning luau performance, paddle boarding lessons, nighttime Tour of the Stars, interactive wildlife experience, and yoga and meditation classes.
Guests will enjoy an entirely new guestroom experience inspired by the rich heritage and authentic spirit of the famed Ka’anapali Beach. The renovation, led by Wimberly Interiors, embraces natural surroundings with new and modern design. The rooms feature private lanais with glass balconies beautifully showcasing views of the Pacific Ocean, the West Maui Mountains, scenic golf courses and lush gardens, and open closets to make the accommodations feel more spacious. The new expansive and open lobby features new light stone flooring and an atrium design that ties Maui’s natural beauty into the existing iconic building. The open-air architecture frames the resort’s majestic ocean views and allows natural light to filter into the space, welcoming guests into a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere. The new organically shaped planter beds display a selection of native Hawaiian plants, such as dryland kalo (taro) and kupu kupu ferns, with nooks carved out for the resident parrots and cockatoos to greet children and adults alike.
The resort recently introduced a “Luau from your Lanai” offer where guests are able to watch the award-winning Drums of the Pacific Lu’au from the glass lanais in the rooms. The experience includes a traditional Hawaiian dinner consisting of Huli Huli Chicken, Kalua Pork or Pacific Ahi Poke, cocktails, traditional Hawaiian leis and an LED fire knife stick, all enjoyed in the comfort of the resort’s newly renovated guestrooms. The cost is $195 per room, based on double occupancy. Visitors can also attend the luau which is currently operating at a reduced capacity of 50 percent and has a multitude of safety measures in place including socially distanced tables, plated and served meals, wellness checks of all staff, photographers and performers before each performance, mandatory usage of masks by guests while not sitting, eating and drinking at the table, and sanitization of luau grounds, tables, and chairs between performances.
Hyatt Regency Maui guests can embrace the stunning location and enjoy six free-form pool areas with waterfalls, a Tour of the Stars experience where visitors can see 80 of the 88 constellations from the resort’s rooftop, and on-property wildlife tours including a visit to the seven gorgeous resident African Black-Footed Penguins. There are 10 distinct dining concepts including Son’z Steakhouse, which features the “Best Steak” as voted by the Maui ‘Aipono Restaurant Awards, and award-winning Japengo, which offers Asian cuisine infused with island flavors.
