InterContinental Dubai Festival City Offers New Elegant Waterfront Events Space

InterContinental Dubai Festival City Offers New Elegant Waterfront Events Space
The elegantly-appointed new function rooms, which officially opened on Thursday 7th February, will provide wider options for those looking to host smaller-scale meetings, weddings, group dinners and other events. Enhancing and complementing the existing Event Centre, which already boasts 3,800 sqm of meeting rooms, pre-function space and ballrooms, the new space will consist of two additional ballrooms named Al Noor 1 and 2, which can be opened up into one larger space, three boardrooms named Al Thuraya 1 and 2 and Al Dana, a business centre and a stunning reception and break-out area.

InterContinental's sophisticated new ballrooms each have impressive views of the Dubai city skyline and creek waterfront, which is particularly breathtaking in the evening and at sunset. Each of the new rooms is finished to a luxuriously high specification, with unique designs and carefully planned lighting, and each can be accessed via the main reception of the space. An outdoor terrace is also available.

Patria Puyat, director of conferences and events at InterContinental Hotels Group Dubai Festival City, said: “This is a very exciting development for us. Our meetings business has really increased in the last year, so it made sense for us to look at expanding our existing space to enable us to offer more flexible options to our guests and meet the increasing demand. The waterfront setting is really unique, overlooking the historic and calm Dubai Creek, which is perfectly contrasted by the striking views of the modern Downtown Dubai vista.”

An additional 115 sqm of meetings space is also planned for its neighboring hotel, Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City, later in 2013.
