InterContinental Hotels Announces Future Openings in Porto, Moscow and London

Opening July 2011, InterContinental Porto Palacios das Cardosas will be the first InterContinental hotel to open in Portugal. A renovated palace with luxury accommodations, the property is situated in the historic district of Liberty Square. The charming medieval city – named after the sweet wine produced in the region – offers travelers a warm, classic-meets-contemporary atmosphere. The hotel will feature 105 guestrooms, including spacious Penthouse Suites with fantastic views of the city’s historic buildings and traditional architecture, as well as Café Astoria, restored to its original Belle Époque façade. The hotel will also house a modern spa with spacious treatment rooms, a sauna and pool.
