InterContinental Singapore Receives Prestigious Award Wins

This accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given to establishments in the top-performing 10 percent of businesses worldwide listed on TripAdvisor. To qualify for the award, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on the site, in addition to taking into consideration the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

TripAdvisor is the world's largest travel site, operating in 30 countries worldwide, offering trusted advice from real travelers and a wide variety of travel choices and planning features with seamless links to booking tools. TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, with more than 200 million unique monthly visitors, and over 100 million reviews and opinions.



And to further cement our dedication to Singapore's arts and heritage, InterContinental Singapore was named ‘Friend of Heritage 2012' during the Patron of Heritage Awards 2012 organized by the National Heritage Board.

In its seventh year, the annual awards ceremony held on 29 May 2013 at the Asian Civilizations Museum paid tribute to cultural philanthropists for their gifts of heritage, with InterContinental Singapore being the only hospitality business to be a recipient of the award this year.

The award was given in recognition of the hotel's support of the Thai Transience Exhibition which took place at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) between October 2012 to January 2013, co-organized by SAM and the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture (Thailand).

Featuring more than 20 new works from both emerging and established Thai contemporary artists, the exhibition showcased the variety of ways Thai contemporary artists continue to create new expressions responding to their heritage and faith.
