InterContinental Tahiti Resort Unveils Deep Nature Spa

InterContinental Tahiti Resort announces the opening of the much-anticipated Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm. The new spa features Algotherm treatments and products containing marine vitamins extracted from the ocean's depths. The spa menu also includes treatments with traditional Polynesian Hei Poa, the exotic and highly calming Polynesian massage products, to provide spa-goers with the ultimate experience of tranquility and well-being.

Designed by Algotherm, the Deep Nature Spa is located in the heart of the luxurious InterContinental Tahiti Resort, near the picturesque lagoon. The 3,230 square foot oasis is host to a number of services and five treatment rooms, including a relaxation area with a steam bath, rain shower experiences to stimulate the senses, a cold plunge, a tea lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness room with breathtaking views of the lagoon and of the sister island of Moorea.

Deep Nature Spa treatments aim to connect the body with “te moana” – the sea, and "te fena" – the earth. The connection is made by blending the deep ocean products of Algotherm with local island products found on land (i.e. the use of Hei Poa products). Treatments include a "Monoï tradition massage by Hei Poa," "Algospa seaweed body wrap," "Marine Body Scrubs," and the signature "Tahitian Wave" massage.

InterContinental Tahiti Resort is considered one of the top hotels on the island of Tahiti. It is located alongside the lagoon with a view of Tahiti’s sister island, Moorea. The resort features 260 guest rooms, including 16 overwater motu bungalows and 15 overwater lagoon bungalows. The resort features two restaurants, Le Lotus and Le Tiare, and three bars: the Tiki Bar, Le Lotus Bar and the Lobby Bar. Le Lotus restaurant is completely secluded at the far end of the resort and features cuisine from Chef Bruno Schmitt, formerly of three-Michelin star restaurant L’Auberge d’Ill in France. Le Tiare features weekly performances by Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti, the island’s internationally-renowned performance group.
