Ischia’s Regina Isabella Resort Reopens This Month with New Rooms, Treatments and Flavors

Regina Isabella Resort, located on the idyllic island of Ischia, will reopen for its 2026 season on April 22, unveiling a bevy of newly reimagined rooms. The hotel was opened 70 years ago by the Rizzoli publishing family and ever since has been attracting American vacationers, Hollywood celebrities and members of European royalty.

The reopening of the Regina Isabella unveils the completion of a significant transformation, combining dozens of smaller rooms to create spacious new junior suites. The redesigned accommodations feature balconies overlooking the Mediterranean, a refreshed color palette and upgraded state-of-the-art technology.

Nestled on a private beach overlooking the Bay of Naples, the 128-room Regina Isabella Resort combines Italian chic with traditional and updated mid-century classic styles. Swaths of shiny, decorative tile floors are the hallmark of the region.

The resort features the 35,000-square-foot Terme della Regina Isabella Spa whose healing waters were first tapped by the ancient Greeks. A spectacular Roman-inspired wellness area has been added to the thermal spa. Guests can now sample four thermal pools with varying temperatures, a sauna, steam bath, sensory showers, and a host of rejuvenating, weight-loss, health and beauty treatments.

Gastronomy is at the heart of the Regina Isabella: from its massive breakfast buffet, to long, lazy lunches in the airy Sporting restaurant, and dinners in the formal Dolce Vita dining room. Last but by no means least, is Chef Pasquale Palamaro’s Michelin-starred dining at Indaco, offering a creative, multi-course gastronomic experience on the hotel’s private harbor, with dishes centered around seafood and esoteric Ischian flavors.
