Israel and the City of Eilat to Host Miss Universe Competition December 2021

The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced that the global MISS UNIVERSE® pageant will be held for the first time in its history in Israel, in the city of Eilat. The competition, taking place this December will mark the organization's 70th anniversary and once again will be hosted by legendary entertainer, Steve Harvey.

Delegations from over 100 countries are expected to attend the pageant in Israel, including more than 1,200 members of official delegations, hundreds of journalists and TV crews, thousands of pageant enthusiasts and tourists, and more than 100 American celebrities – including top-tier artists and world-famous judges.

From the end of November, competition contestants will arrive in Israel for three weeks of TV events, broadcasted live around the world. These include the semi-final and final events, the national costume show, and other gala events such as the red-carpet, events in the community, charity events and more.

The show will air in over 170 countries and territories across the globe. In the United States, FOX will be the English-language home of the competition, while Telemundo will be the exclusive Spanish-language broadcast partner.

  • Masada National Park
    • An UNESCO World Heritage Site, Masada National Park is located on an isolated clifftop overlooking the Dead Sea, filled with deep history. Tourists are encouraged to hike Masada in the early morning hours to watch the stunning sunrise over the vast Judean Desert.
  • Beit She’an National Park
    • Located in the Galilee Region, Beit She’an National Park is home to the ruins of the Roman city of Beit She’an including a Roman Theatre, a bathhouse and more. Traveler’s can check out an immersive audio-visual display of the archaeological findings at the site during She’an Nights.
  • Makhtesh Ramon
    • There’s no better place to stargaze than in the Negev Desert, specifically at Makhtesh Ramon, a geological feature known as an erosion cirque.
  • En Gedi Nature Reserve
    • Known as the largest oasis in Israel, En Gedi Nature Reserve is filled with springs and waterfalls and is home to a range of wildlife from ibexes to rock hyraxes.
