These new offerings, combined with holistic techniques and a focus on ancient oriental wisdom, aim to reconnect guests’ bodies with nature and to transform their overall health, happiness and wellbeing.
News and Highlights for 2022 include:
Newly Unveiled Garden Spa Suites
To further harness the healing power of being in nature, two new Garden Spa Suites have opened in the resort’s Mediterranean Garden. Set amid lavender bushes, olive trees, and citrus plants overlooking the gorgeous mountainside valley, the Garden Spa Suites are available to guests through October and include treatments such as aroma, candle, and Hawaiian massages, which aim to treat the mind as well as the body. The suites are configured to open up to the sky and mountains, displaying a stunning view of the surrounding area.
Thermal Water Wellness Treatments
Inspired by the traditional Merano bathing ritual, the new hydrotherapy experiences are enjoyed in the resort’s 861-square-foot indoor pool and in private whirlpools infused with regenerative bath oil blends. The mineral-rich water is sourced from a 400-year-old spring located under the Reinhold Messner Castle, three miles away. The resort also offers Water Massages, conducted in the resort’s thermal Infinity Sky Pool, where a therapist uses water to knead and apply pressure to the body through constant aquatic movement. During this experience, guests enjoy a deep sense of relaxation while effortlessly floating in the healing waters, enhanced by calming music playing below the surface.
Medical thermal therapies also integrate with a host of new multi-sensorial treatments in the Transformational Journey Retreat. These treatments are inspired by research into the brain’s ability to process data from different senses simultaneously. The Transformational Journey Retreat is a unique creative wellness experience geared to facilitating inner transformation through heightened awareness of the senses.
Exclusives Classes
Reserved for guests participating in Preidlhof’s nine Transformational Wellness Retreats, additional experiences aim to open guests’ mind, body and spirit.
To complement an Italian stay and enhance the tastebuds, the resort offers 46° Parallel Olive Oil tastings, an exclusive blend of organic olive oils produced in the 46° parallel of the world, considered one of the most ideal climates for olive oil production. The sensory journey can be further enhanced with a 46° Parallel olive oil massage, a deeply comforting massage available to all guests on the à la carte treatment menu. Tastings and massages can be experienced in the newly opened Garden Spa Suites.
The Full Moon Sound Healing Ritual takes place during a full moon at 10:00 p.m. in the Mediterranean Garden. The ritual takes place in complete darkness, except for the moon’s brightness and canopy of stars, and is guided by the soft voice of a therapist and various instrumental sounds. It’s the perfect way to wind down before bed.
Suitable for experts and novices, one dance class is inspired by belly dancing while another is a more contemporary style. Every class provides an opportunity to try something new, to get out of one’s comfort zone, and to enhance physical, bodily expression in a fun way.
New Weekly Activities
Aside from the exclusive offerings, the resort has recently launched a series of additional weekly classes and off-property excursions for guests to sign up and enjoy. These new offerings include:
