Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Opening Thanksgiving Day with Significant Terrain
“Being the #1 Resort is a huge honor for Jackson Hole as Forbes takes into account the entire resort experience from terrain and snowfall to lifts and ease of access,” stated JHMR President, Jerry Blann. This year’s survey, which expanded to include Canadian resorts, has a scientific ranking system which explores all aspects of ski resorts.

Along with Jackson Hole, four additional Mountain CollectiveTM Resorts landed in the Forbes Top 10 this year including Alta, Snowbird, Whistler-Blackcomb and Mammoth. “It is exciting to see Mountain CollectiveTM resorts dominate half of this list; it is a true testament to the independent spirit and commitment to high quality ski experiences which The Mountain Collective was founded upon,” noted Blann. Neighboring Wyoming ski resort Grand Targhee also made the list, ranking at number nine.

With another storm system approaching the Tetons over the weekend, and over 4 feet of snow already blanketing the upper mountain, JHMR is pleased to announce even greater than anticipated terrain will be available for opening day, Thanksgiving, November 27, 2014. For opening day skiers and riders can access terrain from Teewinot, Après Vous and Casper Lifts, with more lifts and terrain potentially opening by the weekend. Blann expands, “the combination of natural snowfall and our newly expanded snowmaking system have allowed us to start the season off with a significant amount of terrain for our guests to enjoy.”
