Le Relais Bernard Loiseau - 5-star Relais & Chateaux in the Heart of Burgundy

Le Relais Bernard Loiseau, the 5-star Relais & Chateaux property in the heart of Burgundy, is known for its gastronomy thanks to its iconic two-star Michelin restaurant.

Located in the town of Saulieu, just an hour outside Dijon, Beaune and some of the best vineyards in the world, Le Relais Bernard Loiseau is surrounded by the scenic mountains of the Morvan Massif. They have just unveiled the final phase of its brand-new spa, La Villa Loiseau des Sens, making the hotel not only a gastronomic destination, but now home to one of the most exquisite spas in France.

The 16,000-square-foot spa, located right next to the Relais Bernard Loiseau and set in its own four-story building, took 15 months and six million Euros to build. The final addition to the Villa Loiseau des Sens is the opening of a 700-square-foot VIP Spa Suite on its top floor, offering a panoramic view of the Auxois Mountains and the hotel's lush gardens. Accommodating up to eight guests, the suite is designed to feel like a luxurious hotel suite, including a hammam, sauna, balneotherapy pool and a fireplace. The experience includes Champagne, dessert and room service, along with access to the main spa areas and signature treatments. The suite is available to book for either a full day or half day for up to eight guests, while a couple can book the suite for an overnight stay.

The spa offers 10 treatment rooms and includes a wide range of unique signature treatments, such as the "The Secrets de Cassis®" range, created by Dominique Loiseau (the wife of the late Bernard Loiseau) and based on the exceptional aromatic and nutritional qualities of Burgundy blackcurrants. Designed to offer an unforgettable experience for the senses, the spa offers clients two complimentary experiences: a "multisensorial" space and a "delight" space. The multisensorial area is designed to provide an intense and varied stimulation of the five senses through a phlebology area, water bikes, massage alcoves, a pool and a geyser; the "delight" area fosters relaxation and well-being, offering a sauna with a view of the garden, hammams with skin exfoliation facilities, an experiential shower and more.

The Villa also houses the group's newest restaurant, Loiseau des Sens, offering a menu based around "health and pleasure," with organic and local cuisine selected by regional producers and farmers, including a juice bar, a vegetarian menu and organic wine. The spa also houses rooftop beehives, from which the honey is harvested and served to guests.
