Leh Ladakh Office Excursion: A First-Hand Experience of Travel and Team Bonding

Leh Ladakh Office Excursion: A First-Hand Experience of Travel and Team Bonding

Working in the corporate world might look all shiny but after a while it starts becoming a mundane schedule. Trust me, most of us have experienced this. The meetings, deadlines, endless to-do-list, and those small yet rushed breaks.

And this is why we look for some escape out of routine. This allows us to reset and come back to connect with the team better. This is why; we have this yearly corporate trip tradition in our office.

Over the past few years, I have travelled with my colleagues to various domestic and international locations. And trust me, those have been some of the best trips ever.

Yes, you get it right, the time for the next trip was here again.

When the planning began, many of us were looking to explore a place that is unique, offers calmness, and beauty of nature while allowing us some no-rush time.

That is when the idea of Leh Ladakh came up.

For many of us, this was one of those dream destinations on the bucket list. And so only after a few rounds of discussion, we all finalized to have a trip here in April. And then the planning for the office trip of 20 people started.

Stepping Into the Planning Side of Our Office Trip

We started by making a team who will be managing the initial tasks like planning, booking, and rest. I was a part of the team, and my responsibility was to explore travel options for us.

This was not easy at all!

As I started comparing options, I came across a trip plan for  Leh Ladakh by BizareXpedition. They helped us with customized trip plans that suited our team with budget, timing, and locations. It felt organized, practical, and suitable for a group trip. Once all agreed, we booked the trip.

Finally Landing in Leh

As planned, we packed bags, jackets, and excitement and boarded the flight. We all were so excited. We finally ticked off one item from our bucket list.

Watching the landscape from the aircraft window filled us with joy. Finally, we landed at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport.

The reality hits us here; it is truly cold, the one we never experienced. But it was fun.

As planned, we were transferred to hotels in the tourist bus booked for us from airport. Since, there was an altitude change, we all rested for a while to ensure we settle well. After a while, the trip started and it all felt so refreshing.

When the Trip Turned Into a True Team Experience

One of the things that made this journey special was how thoughtfully everything had been planned for our group. We were not pushed to follow the strict schedule. But there was a place to take a breather and be in that moment. It helped everyone stay engaged and connected throughout the trip.

On some days, after the sightseeing was done, a few light activities were introduced to bring the group together. Sometimes it was a quick team challenge during a stop at a scenic viewpoint or maybe a travel game.

In fact, we had some of the great team building activities planned at between stops as well. And the best part, we never suggested but all was done by them on their own.

One evening in particular stood out for all of us. After dinner, we gathered around a warm bonfire. This was defiantly a surprise for us from the travel planners.

We started with a round of dumb charades. But it quickly turned into a lively competition between small teams. People who were usually quiet in the office suddenly became the most enthusiastic performers, acting out movie names in the most dramatic ways possible. The laughter that followed was endless.

As the evening moved ahead, the energy kept building. What began with games slowly turned into music, a little dancing, and a lot of cheerful moments shared together.

Exploring Ladakh Together, One Day at a Time

Every morning brought a new route, a new landscape, and a new experience for the entire team. Some days were about exploring the heritage side of Leh like Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the nearby monasteries. Others, we were crossing the beautiful valleys.

Driving through high mountain roads and crossing famous passes like the Indus–Zanskar Sangam or Magnetic Hill was truly exciting. And the Nubra Valley was just perfect. Crossing Khardung La’s snowy mountain roads and reaching the sand dunes of Hunder was a total surprise.

Of course, the visit to Pangong Lake was another highlight for us all. Seeing the frozen blue surface of the lake surrounded by massive mountains felt almost unreal.

All these were breathtaking views for us.

Throughout the trip, we shared laughs, jokes, games, and a lot more. I must say, of all the corporate trips, this was one we all cherished the most.

Stories, Memories, and a Team Bond That Will Stay Forever

As the trip ended, we all felt that reset we needed to get back to work with full energy was achieved.

One of the reasons for that was how the trip had been customized for our group. All thanks to the BizareXpedition team. The trip was paced properly focusing on our team with proper customizations.

There was enough time to rest, adjust to the altitude, bond with one another, and explore the place. Because of that pace, the journey never felt tiring.

Looking back, that thoughtful planning made the entire trip more enjoyable. It allowed us to experience Ladakh at a comfortable rhythm that helped us relax and connect.
