Lovango is a private island resort destination in the USVI accessible via ferry from Cruz Bay St. John or Redhook, St. Thomas or by private charter. Lovango Resort & Beach Club is opening in phases throughout 2021 and coming this December 2020 is the full service beach club, ocean front restaurant, three bedroom villa, retail village, and 14 ocean view homesites. The hotel component of the project, comprising a collection of bungalow cottages and luxury tents, is opening winter 2021. The resort is fully sustainable using wind and solar, in addition to a desalination system for converting seawater to potable water. The University of the US Virgin Islands is partnering with the Lovango Resort to restore the coral around the island. Snorkeling opportunities to see the coral restoration program in progress and educational programs are the first of its kind to be made accessible to USVI residents and visitors. The Lovango Resort + Beach Club, St. John, is the third property in the Little Gem Resorts collection of boutique island hotels that include The Nantucket Hotel + Resort and the Winnetu Oceanside Resort on Martha’s Vineyard.
THE BEACH CLUB
USVI’s hottest new destination, Lovango Beach Club promises to be a memorable day trip and a fun addition to any charter route through the USVI. Available for daily, weekly and monthly membership (and at a discount to residents of USVI), the Lovango Beach Club gives guests access to the best snorkeling in the USVI, hiking trails, beach games, a cliff top pool complete with chaise lounges, day beds, cabanas and poolside food & drink service.
THE RESTAURANT
At the helm of the Lovango beachfront restaurant is Executive Chef Stephen Belie; previously of Noble House Resorts and Little Palm Island, FL. Menus will be seasonally inspired with ingredients sourced from farms on Lovango and throughout the USVI and will offer a fresh approach to classic Caribbean cuisine, all served in the most magical setting. The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner for beach club members and the public.
14 HOMESITES
In December, 14 private home lots will be available for sale. Each of the lots afford striking ocean views and are surrounded by lush island landscape. Homeowners will enjoy full resort privileges, caretaking services, dock access, optional rental programs and ease of living previously unheard of in the USVI.
RETAIL VILLAGE
Right off the dock will be an immersive retail experience that celebrates the best of the USVI. Retailers will include a dive shop and local artisan's collective with additional retailers to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
