The One Barcelona, luxury five star hotel, has just released their New Year’s Eve package kickstarting guests into 2020 with an unforgettable night and lucky traditions. Start the night with a special New Year’s Eve tasting menu including a range of delicious dishes and ending with Rosé Cava foam with raspberries and apple snow. All accompanied by wine pairings including traditional Cava to get you ready for the live DJ playing at the hotel after dinner or the famous New Year’s parties in the city.
The celebratory culinary experience will finish with traditional lucky midnight grapes. This is the most famous New Year’s tradition in Spain where everyone is encouraged to eat 12 grapes on the 12 strokes leading up to midnight. They say if you can successfully cram all 12 pieces of fruit in your mouth in time with the chimes, and without spilling any, then you’re going to have a great upcoming year.
If you’re thinking of venturing out after dinner there are plenty of ways to celebrate around the city. The star of the show is the street event at Placa d’Espanya around the Magic Fountain of Montjuic which includes free music, lights and a dazzling pyrotechnic display around the city.
The One Barcelona special tasting menu is priced at €195 per person including traditional midnight lucky grapes and DJ music after dinner. Room nights at the hotel on 31st December are still available from €360 per room.
