Luxury Camp Italy Offers Lagoon Sightseeing Shuttle to Murano Island

Luxury Camp offers a lagoon sightseeing shuttle to visit the glass-making district on the island of Murano and admire the ancient glass-blowing technique still used in kilns up close. The sightseeing shuttle departs from Cavallino-Treporti (VE). This is a brand new service provided by Luxury Camp, an exclusive village inside the Union Lido campsite, which for the 2023 season has reserved its guests the option - included in the price of their stay - to take an immersive experience to one of the oldest Venetian manufacturing activities practiced in the lagoon for the last 13 centuries where they have been making prized Murano glass famous all over the world.

“Thanks to a synergy with master glassmakers from the most well-known kilns on the island of Murano for the crafting and blowing of glass” explains the Managing Director of Camping Management Srl which manages Luxury Camp, Mattia Ferro “we have succeeding in granting one of our guests’ most recurring wishes, which emerged from the customer surveys carried out in recent years. This experience oozing all-Venetian charm will also be one of the unique features to help make a holiday at Luxury Camp unforgettable.”

The desire to find out more about the ancient art of glass working on the island of Murano intrigued 57% of international tourists interviewed during their holiday at the Mirror Suites set in the middle of the pine forest of the prestigious Open Air village. “A generous 34% of those who showed this cultural interest” explained the director of Luxury Camp, Nicola Finotto “want to know more about this ancient technique of crafting glass items and indeed 23% want to witness this charming glassblowing practice in person.” This led the management of Luxury Camp to arrange for a private dedicated shuttle service to leave the terminal in Punta Sabbioni, from May to September, and accompany guests to Murano to discover the bewitching art of Venetial glassmaking which has been practiced in the island’s factories since the 8th Century. “We will explain to our guests a host of anecdotes too, including the fact that the presence of the kilns has by law been concentrated in Murano since 1291, when the Serenissima Republic decided to place them on the island to protect the island of Venice from the possibility of a great fire”.

“From 2023, our shuttle from the village to the Luxury Beach will also be eco-sustainable and carbon free” announced the Managing Director of Camping Management Srl, Mattia Ferro “because we have fitted the accommodation facility’s golf cart Limousine with solar panels (Partnership RCM Veneto company) which will ensure the vehicle is fully charged throughout the tourist season thanks to renewable solar power”. By fitting the main means of transport used every day by guests, Luxury Camp is therefore heading towards the ambitious goal of achieving Zero Emissions by 2025. “We want to contribute to respecting the environment by focusing on energy savings” Mattia Ferro concludes “according to the objectives of the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development signed in 2015 by all 193 countries in the United Nations, including Italy”. The Open Air village, “Luxury Camp”, will open its doors on 21st April and stay open until 2nd October.
