Featuring 55 villas and luxury rooms, the resort is part of the prestigious Royal Mansour Collection, joining the brand’s other properties in Marrakech and Casablanca. Designed by the London-based interior design studio Muza Lab, the hotel combines modern design sensibilities with refined detailing to create spaces that are sophisticated yet welcoming. One of the key materials contributing to the hotel’s aesthetic is marble wall cladding, which brings texture, elegance, and a sense of permanence to the interiors.
Marble wall covering has long been a symbol of luxury, and at Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay, it plays a central role in defining the character of the hotel’s interior. Lithos Design was selected by Muza Lab as one of the key suppliers of marble wall cladding design for the project. Their portfolio for the hotel includes a combination of standard wall cladding as well as selections tailored to the specific aesthetic requirements of individual spaces. For example, the Barcode Zero panels in the Botticino Vaniglia marble exemplify the clean, refined look achievable with standard materials, while other walls feature materials and textures chosen from Lithos Design’s extensive collection, providing subtle yet impactful variations across different rooms.
A notable feature of the project is the way textures are used to bring depth to the interiors. The Tratto, Polis, and additional Barcode Zero panels demonstrate how different marble finishes can define a space, enhance lighting effects, and contribute to a cohesive design narrative. The interplay between light and the stone’s natural veining allows the walls to become more than a surface; they become a design feature in their own right.
While some finishes were selected from standard options, others reflect the flexibility of Lithos Design’s offering. Clients are able to choose from a wide range of marbles and finishes, allowing the design team to adapt textures and patterns to the space without compromising on quality or style. This approach ensures that each area feels thoughtfully curated while maintaining a sense of cohesion throughout the property.
Working closely with Muza Lab, Lithos Design ensured that each wall covering not only met aesthetic expectations but also adhered to the functional requirements of a high-traffic luxury hotel. The installation process respected both the architectural intent and the craftsmanship of the materials, resulting in walls that are durable, elegant, and timeless.
