Maine's Chebeague Island Inn Opens Tomorrow for the 2014 Summer Season
The elegant, Greek Revival-style Inn is welcoming the summer by announcing a new Executive Chef and revitalized culinary experience, a new dock master to coordinate comings and goings, and the 4th annual Chebeague Chebang Independence Day party on Friday, July 4th.

The 2014 summer season kicks off tomorrow, Friday, May 23, at Chebeague Island Inn with rates starting at $180/night. New experiences include:

• New Culinary Experiences: With a background in French gastronomy and a passion for the regional cuisine of Maine, new Executive Chef Brandon Hicks brings a hint of "Parisian sophistication" to the Inn's newly named restaurant, The Charles, and accompanying Charlie's Bar. The new menus are inspired by the fresh, local fare and include new dishes such as Sea Urchin with Compressed Watermelon and Casco Bay Sea Salt; Olive Oil Poached Casco Bay Cod; Sunset Acres Farm Lamb Saddle and classics including the popular Lobster Roll and Chebeague Burger.

• New Dinner Event Series: Chebeague Island Inn is launching a new series of dinner events at The Charles. Unfolding weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the season ahead, the series starts on May 27 with "Shells & Champagne." Other themes already in the lineup include "Intro to Wine Tasting," "American Farmstead Cheese & Wine," "Celebrating Cigars," and "New England Craft Beers." For more information, including a complete event schedule and prices, visit www.chebeagueislandinn.com.

• New Dock Master: It takes talent to oversee traffic on the waterfront at Chebeague Island Inn, and new Dock Master Frank Sambuca has plenty to spare. A seasoned seaman with deep experience on the high seas, Captain Frank recently relocated from The Jupiter Island Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, to manage mooring and complimentary launch service on the Inn's dock. His services and staff will be available from 10:00am-10:00pm daily through the season.

• Chebeague Chebang: Celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 4 at the Chebeague Chebang, Chebeague Island Inn's 4th Annual festival! Enjoy festivities all day long including live bands, local artists, yard games, and a delectable array of a la carte food items and drink specials, and fireworks. Tickets are available at $30 per person from Brown Paper Tickets and include a round-trip ferry from Portland via Casco Bay Lines.

Make it an Independence Day getaway to remember with the Chebeague Chebang Weekend Package including accommodation for two nights, full access to the event and a gift pack. Package rates from $330.
