Marquis Los Cabos Introduces Astronomy Night
Every full moon after dusk local naturalists will introduce guests to the Los Cabos night skies, including planets, constellations, a nebula and more. For a full hour, the hotel will turn out all the lights, adorning all public places with candles, to conserve energy and for a better view of the stars. The Astronomy Night will include a lounge party with live Latin jazz and Mexican music and fire pit on the beach, Mayan astronomy lessons with local naturalists Maria Elena Muriel and Julio Cesar Mendez, and Mexican canapés, such as smoked marlin tostadas, ceviche, assorted kabobs (tuna, shrimp, red snapper, beef, chicken and vegetarian), and desserts. Drinks are additional. For $40 per adult and $30 for children ages 4 to 12, Astronomy Nights are also open to the public, and will take place on the beach at Marquis Los Cabos Resort in the Cabo Real section of Los Cabos, Mexico during every full moon (May 9, June 7, July 7, Aug. 6, Sept. 4, Oct. 4, Nov. 2 and Dec. 2) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
