Montpelier Plantation & Beach announces Pilates Week with London instructor Vanessa Pearce May 25 to June 5; and Yoga Week with U.S. expert yoga teacher Patti Coan December 2 to 8. Both weeks are designed for enthusiasts at all levels to augment their wellness experience while vacationing at this idyllic and historic Relais & Châteaux luxury retreat.

Throughout this session, 50-minute classes will be taught at all levels – from beginners to expert. Daily classes will be held at Montpelier’s yoga studio overlooking Mount Nevis and be led by Vanessa Pearce, lead instructor and owner of London Pilates Studio. Pearce has worked in London for fifteen years, working with clients with high-end specific sports training and those with rehabilitation needs. First drawn to Pilates through personal experience, Pearce became a devotee of STOTT PILATES®, a modern, anatomically based interpretation of traditional Pilates and is now a certified STOTT PILATES instructor.

Yoga Week with Instructor Patti Coan

Sunday, December 2, to Saturday, December 8

Instructor Patti Coan, an expert yoga and mindfulness teacher and coach from the U.S., specializes in helping participants to discover the benefits of Samapatti Yoga – a state of equilibrium or stillness of the mind rooted in the science and philosophy of Raja Yoga, the royal path. Following the Himalayan tradition, the practice explores the union of body and mind through breathing. She teaches about the eight separate limbs incorporated into the practice, including ways of living, postures, breathing, relaxation, concentration and meditation.
