• With its futuristic façade and remarkable design by architecture firm Oikios, the spectacular new building at the foot of the Flüela Pass sets new standards for luxury hotels throughout the entire Alpine region.
• InterContinental® Davos to offer a one-of-a-kind culinary experience with four dining options within the hotel: Capricorn (Alpine Brasserie), Matsu (Asian Dining Bar), Studio Grigio (Lounge Bar Dining) and Nuts & Co. (Lounge Bar).
• The InterContinental® Alpine Spa menu will be seasonal with therapeutically geared treatments to ease sore skiing muscles and aches and pains, while the summer menu is focused on energizing therapies with a combination of yoga and hiking activities.

• InterContinental® Marseille Hotel Dieu's Alcyone Gourmet Restaurant recently opened in October 2013 and tributes its menu to the many different flavours of Marseille.
• At InterContinental® Marseille - Hotel Dieu's Spa by Clarins, guests can enjoy the new "Clarins in Provence" signature treatment.
• Take to the Seas and Save the Environment on InterContinental® Marseille - Hotel Dieu's exclusive 27-metre schooner cruise that takes guests into the heart of the Bay of Marseilles and the Calanques. Once on the island, delegates are briefed by an expert from Marseille’s environment protection agency, and then divided into two teams for a beach clean-up.

• The Royal Suites have been redesigned to pay homage to the hotel’s iconic location — the site of 145 Piccadilly, Queen Elizabeth II’s former childhood residence.
• InterContinental® London Park Lane has teamed-up with Liberty London, the world-renowned shopping emporium; to offer an ‘Insider Experience’ that celebrates the city’s creativity: a VIP shopping tour of Liberty.
• As part of its meetings and events offering, InterContinental® London Park Lane has overhauled its ‘Insider Collection,’ which offers delegates the opportunity to book tailored meeting experiences such as team building activities and off-site meeting venues that are unique to London.

InterContinental® Amstel Amsterdam
Champagne Dreams

• Dom Perignon Suite, opened in mid-October 2013, is one of InterContinental® Amstel Amsterdam’s newest top suites. A stay at this suite, the world’s first and only in partnership with Dom Perignon, starts at more than $7K per night and includes a bottle of Don Perignon upon arrival.
• ‘Insider Experiences’ include a project with Gassan Diamonds, one of the largest diamond handlers of Amsterdam, a package with the nationally-renowned theatre, Carre, as well as a collaboration with Bijenkorf, The Netherlands’ primary luxury department store.
• On-property Art Expositions in La Rive continue, as well as in the hotel’s A Bar, which will be updated with new pieces regularly.

Crème de la Crème: Pastries, Chocolates and Asian Delight

• InterContinental® Paris Le Grand to host famous chocolate artist Patrick Roger’s exhibition, "L'Art et la Matière," through November 18, 2013. The hotel to showcase 23 of his works in its common spaces.
• InterContinental® Paris Le Grand to welcome Ladurée Fashion Christmas Trees (made with French macaroons) in December 2013.

• The prestigious French Chef Association, Maîtres Cuisiniers de France has added InterContinental® New York Barclay Executive Chef Serge Devesa, to the distinguished group of French Chefs who preserve French kitchen traditions.
InterContinental® Buckhead Atlanta
Savored Sips & Southern Hospitality
• InterContinental® Buckhead Atlanta has created new, distinct lines of curated craft bourbon.
• The property’s Southern Art and Bourbon Bar (awarded one of the top Bourbon Bars in America) recently celebrated their second anniversary this October and will host a Master Distillers Dinner November 21, 2013.
• The second-floor outdoor pool at the InterContinental® Buckhead Atlanta has seen a renovation this year, with a conversion to saltwater.

• The InterContinental® Buenos Aires recently obtained Green Global certification and plan to continue to promote sustainable tourism in 2014 with the introduction of Green Meetings.
• InterContinental® Buenos Aires will also launch a new spa concept in 2014.

InterContinental® Boston
Bees and Teas

• As part of InterContinental® Boston’s existing rooftop apiary, the program will be expanded in 2014 to become completely self-sufficient, yielding approximately 2,000 lbs. of honey. Miel Restaurant to become a showcase for honey produced on site, and to educate guests on the existing bee program.
• Unique ‘Insider Experiences’ for hotel guests include VIP access to the 240th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party Annual Re-enactment and a five to eight mile Cultural Boston Run with the hotel’s general manager two days a week in the Spring/ Summer to view the USS Constitution, Charles River and Boston Common.
• The hotel formed an important partnership this year with the Martin Lawrence Gallery, featuring art from Warhol, Berthos and Mrakamis.

InterContinental® Grupo Presidente
News from Mexico

• InterContinental® Mexico City to host a VIP dinner with 'Fundación Origen.' Its chefs will create a special menu to be offered and funds will be donated to the association that supports unprivileged women. The hotel will also host a demolition party in order to officially start the hotel renovation process which is set to be complete in the second half of 2014.
• InterContinental® Cozumel to host VIP yoga classes with Alejandro Maldonado, a renowned Mexican yoga instructor. The hotel also opened up a new food and beverage concept called Napa Steak & Grill and Bin K’iin Lobby Bar.
InterContinental® Toronto Centre
In the Centre of It All
• The majority of InterContinental® Toronto Centre hotel's renovations to be completed in August 2014, including new feature rooms and suites, Spa InterContinental® updates — new state-of-the-art manicure and pedicure stations, renovated outdoor deck with new furniture and landscaping and new flooring planned for 2014 — and updates to the Azure Restaurant and Bar.
• Into 2014, the property will continue to keep efforts innovative with the use of local and sustainable ingredients, including their own organic herb garden’s product in their menus and cocktails.
• The property remains the official sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival, and a major sponsor and partner with Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

InterContinental® New York Times Square
Big Apple Icon

• A LEED-Certified property and home to one of the city’s few rooftop apiaries, the InterContinental® New York Times Square partnered with Burt’s Bees (during National Pollination Month in June 2013) to raise awareness of the plight of the bee. The property’s Chefs developed recipes highlighting key ingredients that would disappear with the extinction of the bee, and were made available online at Burt’s Bees, as well as brought to life in participating hotel restaurants.
• In October, the hotel completed its third honey harvest from its rooftop hive, producing more than 75 lbs of honey this year alone.
• Focusing on its dedication and commitment to the local community, the property forged a partnership with FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) during fall fashion week 2013. Recent FIT graduates were given the opportunity to showcase a piece from their final collection to audience of over 150 people. The winner’s piece was displayed in the lobby of the hotel for the duration of Fashion Week.

InterContinental® Chicago Magnificent Mile
Mile-stones

• The InterContinental® Chicago Magnificent Mile hotel's entire grand tower recently underwent a $12 million renovation, giving the rooms and hallways a sleek, modern look. The property’s historic tower to be renovated by spring 2014.
• This holiday season the hotel will host a 10 foot tall gingerbread house in its lobby, along with other festivities to include a charitable tree lighting, holiday gift wrapping benefitting Lurie Children’s Hospital and an a cappella group sing-off.
• The property’s ‘Summer in the Winter’ package will offer warm-up options for guests including a spray tan, ocean sounds, summer wine tasting and more, while the Concierge will provide tips to enjoying winter in Chicago.
• The property is the only hotel in the city ranked Fodor's Top 100 Hotels.

InterContinental® Latin America Hotels
Not So Conventional

• In July 2013, the InterContinental® Real San Jose opened a new convention center with a total area of 4,000 square meters and a capacity for more than 2,000 guests making it the largest in Costa Rica.
• The InterContinental® Sao Paulo recently opened Godet Bar, which is a sleek lounge where guests can chill, work or meet. In addition to drinks, the Godet Bar also offers a differentiated gastronomic experience with an attractive menu that includes finger food and whole meals.
