Kempinski Opens New Luxury Hotel in Central Prague
The hotel was constructed by Ballymore through the restoration of a 17th century listed building. It comprises 100,000 square feet and includes 75 luxury rooms and suites. Pavel Bem, mayor of the City of Prague, was joined at the opening ceremony by Vaclav Klaus, president of the Czech Republic; Sean Mulryan, chairman of Ballymore Group; and David Brophy, group chief executive. Bem said, "I am honored that Prague has attracted such a prestigious investment. The building, a focal point in central Prague and within walking distance of our most important cultural and historical sites, has now been carefully restored. The hotel features grand, high-ceilinged rooms and its garden, which covers 1,800 square meters and houses more than 2,500 new trees, is an oasis in the heart of our beautiful city."
