New Orleans' Windsor Court Hotel Debuts New Spa

Trading in Mardi Gras beads for Swarovski crystals that line the ceiling, the 4,500 square-foot spa also features mother of pearl tiles, calming colors and relaxing, warm accents, giving an even deeper meaning to “The Big Easy,” by inviting guests and locals to unwind in a city known for its laid back style.

The Spa at Windsor Court features eight treatment rooms and one duet room for couples and offers facial, body and massage treatments as well as salon services including hair, nails and waxing. All rooms have iPod docks so guests can relax to favorite playlists. Before or after treatments, patrons can enjoy the sauna and steam room in the woman's and men's facilities, brand new outdoor pool and adjacent fitness center.

Product lines available for sale in the spa boutique include Phytomer, Cellx-C, Molton Brown, Clarisonic, Moroccan Oil and Soulstice. These products are incorporated in treatments that use techniques not otherwise easily found in the New Orleans market, such as oxygen therapy, L.E.D. light therapy and microdermabrasion. Signature facials that integrate these techniques include:

• Heir Oxygen Facial O2 – Uses compressed oxygen to reduce redness and calm the skin, creating a glow. This facial includes a deep cleansing, exfoliation, thorough extractions, luxurious massage and loads of hydration for a dewy finish.

• Reigning L.E.D. Facial – This facial includes the ultimate deep pore cleansing, super strength exfoliation, thorough extractions, skin specific mask, and full face L.E.D. treatment to create a rejuvenating, anti-aging boost for skin.

• Royal Facial Microdermabrasion + L.E.D. + O2 – Incorporating multiple techniques, this facial combines technology for anti-aging with smart product selection and involves deep cleansing, microdermabrasion exfoliation, thorough extractions, oxygen therapy, massage and hydrating mask with L.E.D.

The Windsor Court's recent renovations were designed by Dallas-based firm Flick Mars, who blended traditional English décor, the signature of the Windsor Court, with French Vogue, the hallmark of New Orleans throughout the entire property. Updates to the Windsor Court include new décor in all 316 guestrooms and suites, a refurbished Club Level lounge, a reconcepting of the celebrated Le Salon, a refresh of The Grill Room, The Polo Club Lounge, the pool area and meetings spaces; and the addition of a lobby bar aptly named Cocktail Bar.
