As winter continues to drag and the stress of tax season looms, the luxurious Oberoi Hotels & Resorts is encouraging Americans in need of a reset to do so in one of the world’s most relaxing resort experiences.

Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, known for its innovation in the wellness space, has introduced a new signature massage treatment that is based on Indian tradition and available at select resorts. The treatment incorporates heated Kasa bowls, which are composed of bronze, copper and tin and balance the energy within the body, with traditional attars oil. The Oberoi Spas work with local perfumers to produce a collection of attars oils exclusively for the hotels. During the treatment, heated Kasa bowls glide along the body with the oils for a treatment that is profoundly nourishing and relaxing.

In addition to the new signature massages, other notable spas and treatments within the collection include:

  • Itineraries for Digital Detox, Weight Management & Mindfulness: The Oberoi Spa at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Resort & Spa, Siswan Forest Range, New Chadigarh is a tranquil, light-filled space spread over 12,000 square feet, adjoining a natural forest. Embellished with water features, it is a carefully created relaxing environment to promote a sense of wellbeing through Ayurvedic, Eastern & Western therapies.  Enhance the efficacy of your treatment with the use of our hydrotherapy pools, aromatic steam, infrared sauna and heated tepidarium.  The resort recently launched an itinerary-based wellness program, ‘Upavasa’ which is available throughout 2019. A Sanskrit word which translates "to be near oneself," Upavasa features five distinct itineraries, specializing in different areas including traditional and digital detox, weight management, rejuvenation and mindfulness. Itinerary have a minimum of five days.
  • 18th Century Mansion Turned Spa: The Spa at The Oberoi Rajvilas is located in an 18th century haveli (mansion) and has been restored to its original state with authentic, pink Jaipuri lime plaster walls and decorated with vegetable dye frescoes, white marble and red sandstone floor tiles. One of the most popular treatments is the “Body Envelopment.” The treatment beings with a full body exfoliation followed by the application of a body mask, at which point the body is cocooned in a heat-inducing wrap to facilitate natural detoxification, firming and nourishment. The wraps are made using ancient indigenous Indian mixtures.
  • 24K Gold Bhasma Facial: The spa at Wildflower Hall, Shimla in the Himalayas offers signature sensorial treatments which incorporate traditional Himalayan Singing Bowls and Salt Stones to stimulate the flow of energy and improve overall wellbeing and vitality. For a luxury treatment, guests can book the Soundarya Facial with 24K Gold Bhasma, which utilizes the rejuvenating properties of 24K Gold and the anti-oxidant properties of other precious minerals to slow down the signs of premature aging, reducing the appearance of fine lines.
  • Balinese Treatments in Private Tropical Gardens: Set in open-air pavilions with views across private tropical gardens, the spa at The Oberoi Bali (pictured) specializes in varying exfoliating scrubs utilizing local fruits, ginger and herbs, which are grown on-site. One of the most popular treatments is the Frangipani and Coconut Boreh, which begins with the body being misted with rangipani floral water before a frangipani and coconut mask is applied. Afterwards, the guest is enveloped in a warming cocoon to infuse vitamins and hydration. The therapy is enhanced with a sweet smelling aromatic moisturizer and is completed by a mist of frangipani and coconut.
