In March 2018, Italian superstar Laura Pausini released her 13th album Fatti sentire (Express Yourself), which earned her the Latin Grammy Award for “Best Album” in the traditional pop category. The talented songstress is taking to the stage of Monaco’s Salle des Etoiles on New Year’s Eve to perform songs from the album and some of her earlier hits.
Fatti sentire veers between heart-ripping ballads, melodious pop and rousing rock. Each track tells the tale of someone who has had to make a decision. Laura Pausini first performed at the Salle des Etoiles in 1997 and, for her die-hard fans, this dinner show is a memorable way to say goodbye to 2018. Tickets start at 553.50 euros.
The Monte Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is offering a special Laura Pausini package for New Year. Monaco luxury hotels (Hotel Hermitage, Hotel de Paris and Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort) will welcome fans for two nights in a double room, with the dinner show and buffet breakfasts included. Jimmy’z
Celebrate the New Year in the glitz and glamour of Jimmy’z, Monaco’s most famous club, which has been dubbed “the headquarters of hipdom”. Celebrities from the worlds of music, fashion, film and sport have graced the dance floor of Jimmy’z since it opened in the early 1970s.
Resident DJs Carmine, Ollie and guest DJ Alexandre Billard will be on the turntables for what the club promises to be a surprise-laden New Year’s Eve. So, expect the unexpected: that’s how this mythical venue made its name.
Casino Square
Casino Square, in front of the most instantly recognizable Monaco property, turns into a big party venue on New Year’s Eve. The magnificent Christmas decorations and colorful lights around the Monte Carlo Casino provide the most festive of settings for revelers to gather, dance and share the countdown to 2019. White and Gold Gala at Twiga
Twiga, a favorite dining and partying haunt of the international jet set, has set the theme of white and gold for its New Year’s Eve gala. During dinner in this venue famed for its Italian and Japanese cuisine, Alessandro Ristorio and the Portofinos will provide the musical entertainment. Italian icon Alessandro Ristori takes inspiration from the American rock’n’roll legends of the ’50s to put his audiences in a party mood. After the countdown to 2019, Twiga will metamorphose into a club, with DJ Davide Penna behind the turntables.
Every year, the Principality’s biggest harbor hosts a mega New Year’s Eve party and 2018 will be no exception. Head to the Christmas Village, where two DJs will be spinning sounds from 9.30pm until 3am. At midnight, the sky above the harbor becomes a riot of colors, when a spectacular fireworks display marks the start of the New Year. Monaco yacht owners join in the fun, filling the air with the sound of honking horns.
