Nine Botswana Safari Camps & Lodges Make 2011 Gold List
The list which is compiled from the votes of 25,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers on their choices of the world's best hotels, resorts and cruise lines. The Botswana properties that appeared on the list under the Africa and Middle East category include Mombo and Little Mombo, Wilderness-Safaris; Jao Camp, Wilderness-Safaris; Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, &Beyond Africa; Duma Tau Camp, Wilderness Safaris: Khwai River Lodge, Orient Express Camps; Savute Elephant Camp by Orient Express; Camp Okavango, Desert and Delta Safaris; Chief's Camp, Sanctuary Retreats; and Vumbura Plains, Wilderness-Safaris.

These properties were also recognized on the Gold List in other categories such as best location, best food, best design and best activities. Mombo and Little Mombo, Jao Camp, Duma Tau Camp and Vumbura Plains received scores of 100 in the best location category. Mombo and Little Mombo received a score of 96.3 in the best food category. Vumbura Plains received a score of 100 in the best design category. In the best activities category Mombo and Little Mombo received a score of 100, Jao Camp and Duma Tau Camp received 97.1, Camp Okavango received 96.4 and Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge received 96.2.
