NOFO Hotel & Wine Bar Reopens in Stockholm's Hip Neighborhood of Södermalm

After years of renovation, NOFO Hotel & Wine bar reopens just in time for summer. The 109-room hotel premieres its new room concept with inspiration from dynamic playgrounds on the international stage such as the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens in New York.

A not-for-much-longer hidden gem in the heart of Stockholm, the new wine bar and restaurant is finding its way into the spotlight. As it expands with outdoor seating and summer bar, the lush courtyard attracts the city’s young crowd, local artisans as well as buzzing cosmopolites, establishing a casual living room for the area.

NOFO Hotel originally opened in 2015 in a cultural heritage building from 1780. The storied house on Tjärhovsgatan 11 has for almost 240 years hosted, among other things, a brewery, a temporary hospital and apartments. After an extensive renovation, which has been going on for the past few years, they are now proud to welcome both international guests and locals to the familiar and personal boutique hotel – perfectly situated in the heart of Södermalm.

NOFO Hotel has preserved the historic wingbeat of the building and spiced things up with contemporary elements from metropolises around the world. The vision behind NOFO Hotel's different room concepts has been to create unique environments that never ceases to surprise you. The inspiration comes from exciting areas and cities around the world. Soho and Carnaby Street in London, Queens and Upper East Side in New York, Trastevere in Rome and Montmartre in Paris, Copenhagen and of course Stockholm.

Design is key when it comes to furnishings as well as choice of materials. Here you meet brands like Arne Jacobsen, Fritz Hansen, Tom Dixon, Hay, Johanson design, Watt & Veke, Mulberry, Morris, Tricia Guild, Homeline, Denona, Utzon and Verner Panton to name a few. The concepts are also reflected in the common areas and with music that is characteristic for the different areas of inspiration.

With the new wine bar and restaurant, NOFO Hotel offers an atmospheric oasis in Stockholm – even more so during the summer months when the inviting courtyard offers a fantastic place to hang out and socialize. The menu is dynamic and uncomplicated with dishes that are made to share. Ceviche on halibut marinated in chili, lime and coriander, pan-fried calamari and a filling Reuben Sandwich to name a few. The people behind the menu are Alexander Alkesten, who is F&B Brand Manager and chef Mikko Hyssy with experience from Savoy and Farang in Helsinki and the Grand Hôtel and Boquerian in Stockholm. Dynamic is also a fitting word for the new beverage menu.

The new wine bar and restaurant is open Sunday–Monday: 3PM–10PM, Tuesday–Thursday: 2PM–11PM, and Friday–Saturday: 2PM–12PM. The kitchen is open Sunday–Thursday: 3PM–9PM, and Friday–Saturday: 3PM–10PM.

A double room starts at 1795 kronor a night.
