Both Norway and Denmark have eased travel restrictions for travelers from outside the EU, just in time for springtime in Northern Europe.
In Norway, all travelers can now enter the country without having to quarantine. Norway's reopening is timely for the country's grande dame hotel, the Britannia in Trondheim, which beckons Americans with its Michelin-starred gastronomy and Nordic charm. Guests have even more reason to visit thanks to Norwegian Airlines recently announcing three new direct routes into Trondheim. As of April 2022, there will be direct flights to Trondheim from both Copenhagen and Berlin, and, from August, Manchester, UK.
Denmark has lifted travel restrictions as well, and now travelers from all over the world can enter Denmark with proof of vaccine. The city's 267-year-old Hotel d'Angleterre is eager to welcome guests back to Copenhagen for the spring, with its prime location overlooking King's Square and magnificent indoor swimming pool.
