Oetker Collection Properties in France Receive Palace Distinction

On October 31st, Atout France granted Oetker Collection’s Château Saint-Martin & Spa and L’Apogée Courchevel the prestigious Palace distinction. Both hotels join Oetker Collection’s Le Bristol Paris and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, along with 31 other selected establishments that have earned the distinction since it was created in 2010.

Oetker Collection’s newly appointed Palace hotels are open seasonally - Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence from April to October and L’Apogée Courchevel in the French Alps from December to April. General Manager Duarte Bon de Sousa oversees both properties, alongside Head Chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois, F&B Manager Géraud Tournier and Head Pastry Chef Eve Moncorger, joined by half of the team members who work year-round at both properties.

“The Palace distinction places Château Saint-Martin & Spa and L’Apogée Courchevel among the most esteemed hotels in France, and perhaps the world. Our endearing locations, a strong legacy of excellence and dedicated teams have made this possible. We are very proud that these properties are joining Le Bristol Paris and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc to represent Oetker Collection in France as hotels recognized with the ‘Palace’ title.” – Frank Marrenbach, CEO of Oetker Collection.

The French Tourism Development Agency, Atout France, created the Palace distinction in November 2010 to distinguish the exceptional 5-star hotels in France and its territories. It is awarded to hotels that possess an iconic location, a compelling history, a unique aesthetic, and tailored services. The distinction is valid for a period of 5 years and can be renewed.
