Old Course Hotel in St Andrews has announced the next events in its ongoing Chef Series, with Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Tom Kerridge and Coinneach MacLeod, The Hebridean Baker, set to host exclusive culinary experiences at the hotel this autumn.
Designed to bring leading chefs and distinctive food personalities to St Andrews for a collection of exclusive dining experiences, the Old Course Hotel Chef Series forms part of the hotel’s growing food and drink proposition, creating indulgent experiences that combine exceptional menus, storytelling and luxury hospitality in one of Scotland’s most iconic settings.
Tom Kerridge will headline the autumn programme on 14 November, hosting a dinner sitting at the hotel’s flagship Road Hole Restaurant. Guests will enjoy a five-course tasting menu, inspired by Tom’s visits to local suppliers and producers across Fife, showcasing the finest Scottish ingredients through his distinctive culinary lens. The dinner will feature exceptional produce and bold flavours overlooking views of the Old Course and West Sands Beach.
Also featuring within the 2026 Chef Series, the hotel will welcome Coinneach MacLeod – known to audiences around the world as The Hebridean Baker – for a special Afternoon Tea experience on 17 October. The ticketed event will see Coinneach bring his distinctive blend of Scottish baking to St Andrews, inspired by family recipes, island storytelling and landscapes of the Outer Hebrides. The tea will be followed by an intimate reception sharing stories and songs from the islands over drams from Isle of Harris Distillery. Exclusive early copies of Coinneach’s upcoming festive cookbook, Hebridean Baker: A Scottish Christmas, will be available to purchase at the event.
The newest additions to the series follow previous Chef Series events with Rachel Allen of Ballymaloe and Alex Dilling of Hotel Café Royal, reflecting Old Course Hotel’s continued focus on creating memorable dining experiences that sit alongside its wider luxury hospitality offering, from destination dining at Road Hole Restaurant and drinks with a view at Road Hole Bar to relaxed all-day moments at Herbs and alfresco drinks and indulgent nibbles on The Deck.
Tom Kerridge said: “The history, heritage and global reputation of Old Course Hotel are extraordinary, and the setting is absolutely stunning. Visiting the hotel and meeting its suppliers has given us the opportunity to think about how our style of cooking can align with the character of this special place and showcase some of Scotland’s brilliant produce.
“The five-course tasting menu will be a real celebration of British seasonal cooking at its best, using some of the amazing Scottish ingredients we’ve discovered here while embracing the techniques we’ve developed at The Hand & Flowers. We want to showcase phenomenal produce through great cooking, all against what is arguably one of the best views anywhere.”
Coinneach MacLeod, The Hebridean Baker, said: “I’m delighted to be part of the Old Course Hotel Chef Series this October and to host an Afternoon Tea inspired by the flavours and stories of Scotland. Afternoon Tea should feel generous, comforting and just a little bit special. It promises to be a wonderful afternoon of good food, warm conversation and plenty of Hebridean hospitality!”
Phyllis Wilkie, General Manager at Old Course Hotel, said: “The Chef Series is designed to bring distinctive voices in food to St Andrews, creating experiences that combine exceptional cooking with storytelling, personality and a real sense of occasion.
“To welcome Tom Kerridge and Coinneach MacLeod as part of the autumn programme is incredibly exciting and reflects the breadth of what we want the series to offer. From Tom’s bold, generous approach to British cooking to Coinneach’s celebration of Scottish produce, recipes and island culture, each event gives guests the chance to experience something truly memorable here at Old Course Hotel - bringing indulgent hospitality and world-class talent into one of Scotland’s most iconic hotel settings.”
The events follow a transformative period for Old Course Hotel, including the refresh of the hotel’s fourth floor, home to Road Hole Restaurant, Road Hole Bar and Swilcan Loft, as well as extensive improvements to the lobby, and launch of the new hotel boutique, The Emporium and Herb’s cafe. Together, these updates mark a renewed focus on luxury hospitality, destination dining and guest experiences that celebrate the best of St Andrews.
