Portraits of Japan - Immersive Photographic Journeys through Western Japan

InsideJapan Tours has announced the addition of Portraits of Japan photographic journeys to its collection custom-tailored small-group travel experiences in the country. Led by renowned photographer and Japan expert Everett Kennedy Brown, the year-round Portraits of Japan itineraries take travelers through some of the most iconic landscapes and cultural experiences in Western Japan. Intimate and ideal for small groups like photography clubs and multi-generational families, the distinctive trips open in Kyoto and take participants through rural communities and fishing villages, as well as the infamous city of Hiroshima and sacred Miyajima Island, before ending in the vibrant city of Osaka.

Portraits of Japan tours provide an immersive cultural look at Japan through the lens of a camera, under the guidance of award-winning photographer Everett Kennedy Brown, whose work has appeared in top international publications like National Geographic, Time, Newsweek, and The New York Times. Having lived and worked in Japan for the past 25 years, Kennedy Brown introduces travelers to engaging personalities including geisha, Zen monks, fishermen, and kimono ateliers.
