QT Melbourne has introduced its first-ever Well-Being “Dog-Cierge,” Russell. In partnership with Guide Dogs Victoria, the 20-month-old, blond Labrador Retriever - named after his new home at 133 Russell Street – has taken up permanent residency at QT Melbourne, delivering joy, comfort and companionship to everyone who walks through the hotel's iconic copper doors.
Russell received extensive training with Guide Dogs Victoria to assist visually impaired individuals. However, his playful spirit made him an ideal candidate for a well-being role, rather than a traditional guide dog. At QT Melbourne, he’ll greet guests, lead morning walks and spread overall wellness with his irresistible charm.
“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Russell to QT Melbourne,” said Kristen Foat, General Manager of QT Melbourne. “His presence represents not just a commitment to our guests’ wellbeing, but also a deep appreciation for the important work Guide Dogs Victoria does in the community. Through this partnership, we’re able to give back in a meaningful way while creating an environment of joy, connection and compassion.”
To celebrate Russell’s arrival and to support Guide Dogs Victoria, QT Melbourne has also launched a series of pup-friendly experiences, with proceeds benefiting the charity, including:
• Pups & Poses on Rooftop at QT - QT Melbourne, in partnership with Sofia Studios, presents Pups & Poses on Rooftop at QT. A relaxing rooftop yoga session is joined by Guide Dogs Victoria’s puppies-in-training, who will scamper and snooze amidst stretches. Classes run monthly and are subject to puppy availability. Limited run of ticket drops will be available exclusively via QT Melbourne’s lnstagram Story.
• Deli QT Menu Goes Dog-Friendly - QT Melbourne’s lobby-side sandwich bar, Deli QT, is serving up puppacinos for your pup alongside its signature Italian panini & pastries for you. Deli QT is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm.
• PupYeah! Staycations - Check in with your four-legged friend for a VIP overnight retreat. Enjoy pet-friendly accommodations and a specialty in-room dining menu crafted just for pups.
