Since 1981 this dining guide has stood as the world's most comprehensive list of restaurants offering exceptional wine programs. The results were published following a meticulous appraisal by Wine Spectator's panel of expert adjudicators.

The criteria of this prestigious award are detailed and exacting; the Best of Award is only granted to destination restaurants with imaginative wine lists of 400 or more quality selections. It also only recognizes wine programs that display superior vintage depth or excellent region breadth and are well presented in an accurate and attractive manner.

Stéphane Soret, Raffles' Wine Director, is a respected figure in the international wine scene; blessed with a fine palate and a natural aptitude for wines, he has crafted an illustrious career of over 20 years and has added depth and character to the Raffles Grill wine program.

Working with his personally-selected team of five, he has created a contrasting list that places vintages from distinguished wineries side by side with boutique wine-makers, whose exclusive and limited bottles are rarely available commercially. Stephane has also built upon his initial introduction of wines from organic and biodynamic viticulture to the traditional list. He continues to draw particular attention to them within his list.

Stéphane's underlying philosophy is that wine crosses all social boundaries and is best enjoyed amongst friends. This provides a unifying influence throughout the wine list, ensuring that alongside precision and finesse, the wine program is above all enjoyable.

Accompanying this highly acclaimed wine list, Raffles Grill serves fine French cuisine perfectly complemented by attentive service in an elegantly colonial atmosphere. High ceilings, sparkling chandeliers and tranquil views over the famous Palm Court provide an atmospheric setting for seasonal dishes by Deputy Executive Chef Nicola Canuti.
