Rio Palena Lodge To Open For First Full Season in Patagonia, Chile

Rio Palena Lodge, Eleven’s new Chilean property is slated to open in October for its first full season of operation. The comfortable and high-quality lodge will set the new standard for the ultimate trout-fishing and adventure retreat in one of the world’s most remote and pristine fishing destinations.

The 35-acre Chilean hideaway is nestled against a lush green hillside, on the banks of the Rio Palena River in the awe-inspiring Northern Aysen Region of Chile. The region is notable to many for the super-charged trout that thrive in the glacial waters of the myriad of lakes, rivers, and streams over this slice of Patagonia, providing anglers with a diversity of experiences. From tranquil float and wade fishing to exhilarating helicopter fly-outs on water rarely fished, Eleven’s team of professional guides will be sure to put guests on the best fishing water at the time of the trip.

The newly remodeled lodge features seven well-appointed suites for a maximum of fourteen guests per week. Each suite offers unobstructed views of the Andean Valley in tandem with Eleven’s commitment to providing unparalleled service and adventures for all aptitudes.

In addition to the main lodge, Eleven has a riverfront outpost on the lower Futaleufu River providing a secluded haven for quick access up and down stream, along with dragonfly fishing in Lake Yelcho, and the big browns and king salmon in the lower Yelcho River.

For non-anglers, or those seeking a day off from casting, the lodge offers guided mountain biking, hiking, rafting, kayaking and canoeing, helicopter sightseeing picnics, cooking classes, wine and Pisco tastings, yoga, spa treatments and more.

Open seasonally October through April, rates at Rio Palena Lodge begin at $7,350 per person based on double occupancy for an 8-night stay, including six days of guided fishing and a one-day helicopter fly out. Customized itineraries with a 4-night minimum stay are also available.
