The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun and its two fine dining restaurants, Fantino and The Club Grill have received the 2009 Five Diamond Award by the American Automobile Association.

Of the 32,000 hotels rated by the AAA in North America during 2009, The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun is the only Five Diamond hotel that operates and manages two Five Diamond restaurants. The award winning resort continues to set the standard for excellence in tourism hospitality for all of North America maintaining its impressive collection of 15 sparkling diamonds for another year.

They arrive at properties unannounced and look at service levels, amenities and ambience, awarding from one to five diamonds. Representing the elite of the hospitality industry, AAA Five Diamond Award® winners make up just 0.25% of the 60,000 rated establishments.
