Rocco Forte Hotels Launches Forte Organics

Made in Italy, the uniquely formulated products combine a captivating blend of organic ingredients from Sicily, purposefully-selected for their efficacy and specific benefits to the skin.

The base of the Forte Organics products is oligomineral water from the Sicilian Madonie Regional Natural Park, which, rich in magnesium sulphate, antioxidizes and activates cellular energy. Many of the ingredients have been hand-picked from Verdura Resort, Rocco Forte Hotels' 230 hector resort on the south coast of Sicily. Verdura's Organic Olive Oil is a key ingredient due to its low acidity levels and richness in Vitamin E and unsaponifiables, which regenerate the skin.

Full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, Aloe juice is used in many of the products, soothing and hydrating the skin, whilst the addition of hibiscus leaf extract helps reduce fine lines. The products also contain Sicilian almonds, known to be the best source of Omega, amongst other Sicilian nut oils, plants, fruits and flowers, chosen from the resort's vegetable garden by Irene Forte and Dr Francesca Ferri of Effegi Lab. All Forte Organics products are free of parabens, colorants, parafins, allergens, abrasive fragrances and SLES.

Dr Ferri founded Effegi Lab in Trento, Italy, in 2001 with a group of researchers. She worked for years as a pharmacist and she participated in the foundation of the Italian Society for the Study of Biological therapies in Trento in 2001. She has developed new cosmeceutical technologies, a method for the extraction of Resveratrol from grapes and also a method for the extraction of vegetable melatonin, Phytomelatonin. Effegi Lab's goal is to create formulas with an organic cosmetic matrix with no pollutants, that are health friendly.

The line includes a range of beauty products, from Almond Cleansing Milk, Citrus Toner, Hibiscus Serum, Opuntia Day Cream, Hibiscus Night Cream, to Almond and Hazelnut Face Scrub and a Pomegranate Face Mask. The body products include Citrus Body Cream, a White Wine Body Emulsion, Apricot Shower Gel Oil, Vitamin E Hand Cream and Medlar Fruit Body Scrub.
