Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver’s iconic hotel, has launched the Ultimate Wine Tour, a new, two-night package offered in partnership with SKY Helicopters, Vancouver's premier sightseeing adventure helicopter company, that showcases the best of Vancouver’s surrounding wine regions through an exclusive helicopter tour to the internationally-acclaimed wineries of the Okanagan Valley. The two-night package includes luxurious accommodations in a suite as well as in-room breakfast and dinner at critically acclaimed Hawksworth Restaurant for an incredible experience highlighting both Vancouver’s city delights as well as the city’s stunning surrounding vineyards.
After a restful night’s sleep in one of Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s well-appointed suites, guests will by whisked away by helicopter through the majestic Coast Mountains to central British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. The wine-tasting experience begins at Painted Rock Estate Winery, a family estate winery dedicated to producing terroir expressive wines. Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and cellar to sample vintages straight from the barrel.
After savoring the wines of Painted Rock Estate, guests will return to the helicopter for a quick flight to Liquidity Winery, a winery featuring an artisan approach to ‘grape to glass’ and situated in a stunning space featuring breathtaking views, eclectic artwork, and locally inspired food. Guests will enjoy a private tour of the art installments on the grounds and visit the tasting room before indulging in a gourmet, 5-course Chef’s wine-paired seasonal tasting menu on the patio overlooking rolling vineyards and Vaseux Lake.
The tour concludes with a visit to Culmina Family Estate Winery where guests will be treated to an exclusive tour around Culmina’s Bourdeaux-red varietal bench, the state-of-the-art winemaking facility, and a guided, seated tasting through a selection of Culmina’s critically-acclaimed wines.
