Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth Introduces Curated Escapes for the Culturally Curious

Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, a refined sanctuary of island living and longtime favorite among the global art set, announces the debut of its Art Programming—a thoughtfully curated series of experiences designed to immerse guests in the vibrant creative culture of St. Barth. As the latest evolution of the resort’s cultural offerings, the program provides rare insider access to the island’s artistic community through guided tours, artist meet-and-greets, bespoke self-guided itineraries, and at its heart, rotating on-property exhibitions showcasing works by locally connected artists.

Long celebrated for its creative spirit, St. Barth draws artists, collectors, and cultural enthusiasts from around the world. From avant-garde galleries in Gustavia to hidden artisan studios tucked along sun-dappled roads, the island's art scene blends Caribbean soul with contemporary sophistication.

Set across 18 acres of lush peninsula and vibrant landscape, Rosewood Le Guanahani now doubles as an open-air gallery, thanks to a dynamic collaboration with Artists of St. Barth. Paintings, sculptures, photography, and installations on property bring new dimension to guest spaces throughout the resort—most notably greeting guests in the Reception area and in the Gardens—inviting guests to experience the island’s artistry in situ.

On-property program highlights include:

  • Rotating exhibitions across the resort’s public spaces, refreshed seasonally to spotlight both emerging and established talent—including Antoine Verglas, the famed Paris-born fashion photographer known for his evocative portraits of supermodels and celebrities; the GC artists, whose striking tufted textile works bring a bold, tactile dimension to traditional wall art; Dvis Dformes, a former mechanic who transforms engine parts into intricate, three-dimensional sculptures inspired by the textures and rhythms of St. Barth; and Roger Moreau, a sculptor and painter celebrated for his poetic, heart-shaped creations made from stones collected on the island. Together, these artists create an evolving gallery that brings energy, edge, and a distinctly local soul to the resort’s public spaces.
  • Artist-led salons, talks, and previews, hosted throughout the year
  • A curated collection of works created on and inspired by St. Barth, offering a visual narrative of island life through a uniquely creative lens

To complement the in-resort experience, the program introduces two distinct art tour formats, each offering an immersive look at the island’s most compelling cultural voices and spaces.

Guided Art Tour

For those seeking a deeper connection to the island’s creative pulse, the Guided Art Tour offers a three-hour immersive experience led by a local expert with deep ties to St. Barth’s art community. The journey begins with an introduction to the resort’s curated collection before venturing into Gustavia and beyond to explore key artistic landmarks.

Highlights include:

  • A visit to Véronique Vandernoot’s open-air installations and signature beach signage
  • A champagne toast at the Artists of St. Barth Gallery
  • A guided walk through Gustavia, concluding with a private meet-and-greet at Véronique Vandernoot’s boutique, where guests will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at her creative process and have the opportunity to preview new works. On the guided walk, guests can also admire Véronique’s artisanal street signage along the route, a creative signature woven into the fabric of the island’s visual identity.
  • In Gustavia, a leisurely stroll through the historic town center includes the famed Anglican Church, also known as the island’s “point zero,” and a glimpse of colonial and contemporary architecture

This immersive journey offers a personal connection to the stories, people, and passion that define St. Barth’s art scene.

Self-Guided Art Tour

For guests who prefer to explore at their own pace, the Self-Guided Art Tour offers a flexible and enriching itinerary. Upon picking up their rental car, guests receive a beautifully illustrated map—commissioned from a local artist—charting notable creative destinations around the island, including the Artists of St. Barth Gallery and Gustavia’s charming museums. The tour also includes a handcrafted Le Guanahani mocktail, the perfect refreshment for an afternoon of discovery.

Reservations for both tour formats must be made at least five days in advance and are subject to the availability of artists, galleries, and guides. The Self-Guided Art Tour begins at €160 for two guests and the fully guided tour for two guests begins at €1,340. Full pre-payment is required at the time of booking.
