Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth Makes Travel + Leisure's It List 2022

Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, the legendary island escape on Saint Barthélemy, has been recognized on Travel + Leisure's esteemed 2022 It List. Selected by their distinguished editorial team, the 2022 Travel + Leisure It List recognizes the 100 most unforgettable new and reimagined properties in 35 countries worldwide. Over the past year, Travel + Leisure sifted through hundreds of new and renovated properties across the globe, which were then narrowed to just 100 in total.

The list, now in its 17th year, features hotels and resorts located around the globe and underscores the travel industry's resiliency, creativity, and standout hospitality. Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, along with the other winning properties, is sure to inspire wanderlust and offer travelers more reason to get out and explore the world as it opens once again.

"It's an absolute honor to be recognized as one of the best hotels and resorts in the world by this prestigious list carefully curated by the editors at Travel + Leisure," said Martein van Wagenberg, managing director of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth. "Following our four-year closure and comprehensive reimagination that preserves the unique spirit of the fabled resort while infusing contemporary amenities and design details, we were delighted to reopen Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth in November. We are extremely grateful for the overwhelmingly positive response from our guests and community alike. This latest distinction is because of our associates' dedication to bespoke service and the unmatched experiences our resort offers our visitors and reaffirms the resort as the destination of choice for new and legacy guests alike."

The resort has been an icon of hospitality since it originally opened in 1986, remaining one of the world's most discerning island escapes until its closure in 2017. Its desirable setting across 18 lush and secluded acres on a private peninsula overlooking the beautiful beaches of Maréchal Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac Lagoon, complemented by its sophisticated design, made the resort instantly appealing to artists designers, and other travelers worldwide. With new amenities and experiences ranging from the innovative culinary concept Beach House St. Barth, to the immersive and educational children's club Rosewood Explorers, to the locally inspired Sense®, A Rosewood Spa, the property embarks on the next chapter of its illustrious history, encouraging a refreshed appetite among guests to explore all St. Barth has to offer.

2022 marks the fifth year that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’® properties have been recognized on Travel + Leisure's It List, following the inclusion of Rosewood Little Dix Bay in 2021, Rosewood Hong Kong in 2020, Rosewood Baha Mar and Rosewood Luang Prabang in 2019 and Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel and the former Rosewood Puebla in 2018.

Rosewood's continued recognition on the prestigious list is a testament to the brand's strategic growth strategy, which includes the careful selection of the destinations in which the brand operates and the like-minded partners that are chosen to bring the new properties to life. Each unique and renovated hotel follows the brand's guiding A Sense of Place® philosophy, wherein the distinctive ethos and culture of the destination is woven into the identity of every aspect of the property.
