Rosewood Little Dix Bay to Reopen on December 4

Rosewood Little Dix Bay, the legendary island escape on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, will reopen on December 4, 2020. Long regarded for its secluded stays on 500 acres of pristine private beachfront, the resort will reopen with a selection of new and inspired programming and enhanced safety measures, providing guests with the most comfortable and flexible experience while maintaining the high standard of service expected of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. Most notably, new private jet charter services with Tropic Ocean Airways will give visitors the opportunity to book more protected air travel, while enhanced operational protocols from Rosewood Hotel Group’s brand-wide health and safety program Commitment to Care will ensure the well-being of every guest, visitor and associate.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s 81 guestrooms and suites, four restaurants and bars and array of wellness and recreational facilities will operate in accordance with the guidelines put in place by local and international authorities, as well as Commitment to Care. Guided by leading health experts including the World Health Organization (WHO) and third-party partners at Ecolab and Diversey, Commitment to Care offers heightened standards for safety and sanitation to ensure the well-being of guests, associates and the local community at large. To this end, more thorough and high frequency cleanings will be administered across all resort areas, and associates will undergo mandatory training to master the newly enhanced protocols and current best practices as they relate to personal, peer and guest safety. Associates will also be provided with personal protective equipment to wear during their shifts, and guests will receive a set of masks upon arrival to use at their discretion. Guest-facing protocols will further include the maintenance of appropriate physical distancing at the resort’s shared facilities, including the various dining venues and main Pavilion Pool. Additionally, new, limited-contact options for activities including check-in and check-out, in-room orientation, housekeeping and dining will be introduced, and guests will be consulted ahead of their stays to determine how they would like to be serviced during their time on property.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay will introduce a new partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways and its air concierge service Volo Travel, which will allow guests departing from an array of locations to arrive to Virgin Gorda via private or semi-private aircraft. In cooperation with Wheels Up, Tropic Ocean Airways will provide the property’s incoming guests with privileged access to over 1,000 aircrafts, allowing them to avoid the crowds associated with traditional commercial travel and enjoy a more privatized experience.

“The strength and resilience of Virgin Gorda and Rosewood Little Dix Bay never ceases to amaze me, and I’m proud to unveil our plans to reopen the resort and share its magic with the world once again,” said Andreas Pade, managing director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. “We’ve long made it our mission to provide an unparalleled, tailored experience to all who visit, and we look forward to welcoming guests back and furthering our legacy.”

Building off of the resort’s new health and safety programming and premier services, Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s reopening will also debut new experiential offerings that preserve the spirit of the destination and reflect the travel landscape today. A roster of value-adding rooms packages will further entice travelers to enjoy an island escape, ranging from Suite Sojourn, which offers a reduced rate for guests booking accommodations in the higher room categories, to More Rosewood, which provides a fifth night free for every four consecutive nights booked. Both Suite Sojourn and More Rosewood also include $100 nightly resort credits for guests to use for experiences of their choosing. Lastly, designed for guests visiting from the immediate area and the neighboring U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, the Local Getaways package provides luxurious accommodations at an exclusive local rate, as well as the $100 nightly resort credit.

Guided by Rosewood’s signature residential and bespoke servicing style, Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s evergreen offerings have long provided for the ultimate in secluded getaways. Extending an added layer of privacy and security are Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s standalone villas, complete with fully equipped kitchens, outdoor dining gazebos and private pools. The resort’s fully serviced beachfront features a dedicated palapa and chairs for each accommodation, ensuring ample and consistent space to relax and recharge, and is home to a selection of watersports and boating equipment. Additional experiences and amenities, including two pools and a sophisticated tennis center, offer further opportunities for outdoor recreation.
