106' Sailing Yacht Emmaline For Charter
March 19, 2017
Please tell us a little bit about Emmaline.
Dutch designed and built by Holland Jachtbouw in 2003, EMMALINE is a beautifully balanced modern classic spread over 32.33 meters (106’1” feet). She sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins with a crew of 4.
Derived from the Owner's Welsh family, Emmaline literally translates as "peaceful home", and she's happy to play the perfect hostess.
What is special about Emmaline? Why should someone choose Emmaline over other choices?
EMMALINE was specifically designed for a comfortable sailing experience, yet perfect for exploration. She features a lifting keel which allows her to go through shallow waters and access places where other large yachts cannot normally enter. Also, the deckhouse is a great inside/outside area, well-protected yet with great all round views. She is a very beautiful modern classic build by a very know Dutch shipyard.
What are the accommodations like?
Six guests are accommodated in 3 staterooms consisting of 2 doubles and 1 twin. A spacious Owners’ stateroom aft with detailed design and a focus on luxury at sea, combined with two splendid wood-trimmed guest cabins – both en-suite – provide guests with a perfect escape whether at sea or in port. The Twin cabin has an additional Pullman bunk. The yacht is ideal for 1 family – parents and kids. Or very comfortable for honeymooners and couples.
What amenities does she offer?
Tenders & Toys
:
Tender: 2015 Williams Turbojet 445 ‘S’ (120 HP)
Capable of 85 kph, complete with LED deck lights, freshwater shower, VHF Garmin 300 with AIS, depth sounder, swim ladder and ski pole. The Tender is used for wakeboarding, water skiing and towing inflatables.
Toys:
- 2015 Jobe slalom combo waterskis
- 2015 Jobe kids trainer skis
- 2015 Jobe wakeboard and bindings
- full snorkelling gear for adults and children
- 2 inflatable paddle boards
- 2-seat inflatable kayak
- Seadoo Sea Scooter
- 3-seat Jobe inflatable towable
Along with these items is an inflatable swim platform made out of robust hypalon, and this adds another dimension to being at anchor, as it is able to be streamed off the stern, or towed to the beach to be used as a separate platform for entertaining.
Audio Visual Equipment
Multi-region DVD player and library
Two LCD TVs
Bose AV Lifestyle system
iPod connectivity in each cabin and cockpit.
Where is Emmaline available to charter? What is the weekly rate?
Available to charter in the Western Mediterranean including the Balearics (she is in process of obtaining a Spanish Charter License), and the Ionian Islands in East Med.
Charter rates: EUR 32,000 p/w (low season) - EUR 37,000 p/w (high season)
Plus VAT (if applicable) plus expenses
How is cruising on a sailing yacht different than on a motor yacht?
It is difficult to compare apples and pears. Often you like one or the other. If one loves sailing the feeling is hard to describe. It is an experience – the ocean, the wind, the motion. Motor yachts are often used to go somewhere. With sailing yachts it is more -- it is not about the destination it is the journey.
Motor yachts may offer higher volumes of space and comfort on board, but sailing yacht enthusiasts usually have a true passion for sailing, enjoying the quiet glide and thrill of sailing in steady winds, aside from its more eco-friendly nature.
If there is swell in the open sea, the motion is often more comfortable on a sailing yacht than on a motor yacht.
